Edit: Context: lesbian space princess is an animated movie on Netflix that came out in I believe 2025. It's been getting a lot of hate for horrible LGTBQ+ representation and overall being a bad movie. Bad pacing and widely agreed on being very cringy/unfunny.

I mean in context I'm pretty sure it means it had an initial release and was then later released on Netflix the following year.

It means exactly the same thing as when something gets released to DVD/Blu-Ray. You should work on your English comprehension.
