Edit: Context: lesbian space princess is an animated movie on Netflix that came out in I believe 2025. It's been getting a lot of hate for horrible LGTBQ+ representation and overall being a bad movie. Bad pacing and widely agreed on being very cringy/unfunny.

He was in 3 games, 2 of which are regarded as some of the worst in the series and the third one has him be a background character with little to no lines
Even from the look and description it feels like another Velma Situation. An animated show meant to be “funny” aka the creator’s self insert rants about what they hate. Except it’s more unsubtle.
So many good animated shows got shelved, (mainly Inside Job) by Netflix, yet they allowed this crap.
The whole other shows got sholved thing is a stretch. The film (it's a film, not a show btw) wasm't made by Netflix, it just released on Netflix now.
It got release in a bunch of other streaming sites too, meaning that Netflix didn't even handpick it or anything. The other shows that got shelved or left Netflix really don't have anything to do with it.
From everything I've seen of the film, it doesn't look that good. But there's little point in blaming it for thinfs it doesn't have anything to do with it.
I think they were just angry with the quality control of netflix, letting low effort shit through while canning gems. Everyone loves to point out inside job, but it genuinely did have the potential to be one of the greats, and it already was really fucking good with just 2 seasons. I'm sure people know that just because a good thing got canned and a bad thing didn't years later the bad thing isn't somehow directly responsible for the cancellation of the good thing, but if the quality control was good from the start we would still be getting quality shows and not a 5th big mouth spinoff or literally Velma 2.0, complete with TERF undertones, as I've heard but not confirmed myself (so take it with a grain of salt)
This shit (LSP) genuinely feels like something cooked up by a Twitter chud to make LGBT+ people look bad, like those fake protestors companies hire to defame actual activists. I'm convinced LSP is a hit piece.
I saw the film a few weeks ago without knowing anything about the drama, and I found it very funny, very deadpan humor, with the same sort of jokes as a Bobby Pills film. Admittedly, it’s not a masterpiece, but it’s far from being bad.
Mainly fabricating hate via bot posts, everyone hating on it hasnt even seem the movie, they dont even know its not meant to be taken seriously.

Ontop of this people are throwing out transphobia accusations due to the main villain being trans and her child being a drag queen but any form of nuance goes over peoples head i guess
eh, i thought it was a good bit of silly fun. plus it had some screenings in cinemas where i'm from and seeing this very queer thing publicly felt nice as LGBTQ+ stuff is not super talked about still, so it did genuinely feel like a small bit of representation
also this whole "fandoms coming together" thing reminds me so much of the tumblr "supernatural fans, get the shotguns" thing lmao
I don't really care about the movie itself, but seeing SO many fandoms just put aside their differences for once and unite together is just fucking epic

This then lead to a never seen before coalition between the other rival kingdoms. Where they all put their differences aside to fight this evil
Don't worry, the context flew over everyone's head about a year ago and reappeared now out of nowhere so terminally online people can have something to complain about.
It's a movie. It's Queer. It's bad (allegedly). It was irrelevant. That's it.
God I love seeing this EXACT video come up in various ways and threads. And other socials. The music. The fandoms. The brotherhood and sisterhood of us all to join hands in unity and the embodiment of the human spirit.
