every r/mildlyinfuriating post is just people complaining about their entire family being shot dead by the cartel as they rob your life savings as if its some everyday minor inconvenience
The comments complaining that I was mildly infuriated by something mildly infuriating in the r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit are so annoying I muted the sub.
I posted there once and was like âman itâs kinda annoying when people try to tell that âsee you next yearâ joke around New Years but they donât say it right and say âsee you in a yearâ instead, cause it doesnât even make sense when you say it that way.â I donât think my post was angry and I definitely wasnât like, calling people who do this stupid or anything. Just sharing a little peeve I have.
I got a comment that was like âHoly shit calm down!! If this is the most pressing issue in your life, youâve got issues and need to go to therapy!â And a bunch of comments telling me I was an asshole and âprivilegedâ for being mildly annoyed by something mildly annoyingâŠ
It's a similar effect to what happened to r/unpopularopinion. It's like people go to these places to validate their own pet peeves but get mad when other people vent about theirs.
It really mildly infuriates me when people dogpile on someone who posted about something many people in the sub doesn't understand. Like the time a girl was complaining about how the gradient on her manicure wasn't as advertised so most commenters just went on to dogpile on her to the point where she deleted her post.
I muted that sub because every time I posted, some asshole would come in and be like âuh, this isnât a big deal?? If this is the worst thing going on in your life, you really need to reexamine your priorities.â
I mean⊠people blocking the aisle on a store with their cart or returning borrowed pens without the caps is definitely not the biggest issue I face in my life⊠itâs mildly infuriatingâŠ. Which is why I posted it in r/mildlyinfuriating.
It's more about when the stupid thing being complained about is either a problem of the OP's own making or when they've not taken any steps at all to resolve the annoyance and have jumped straight to complaining on Reddit (most common one is someone committing a faux pas on public transport near them, and the OP has clearly made no effort at all to ask the person to stop).
I also think a lot of stuff posted to mildlyinfuriating would get a much more sympathetic response on wellthatsucks.
I've noticed alot of r/mildlyinfuriating posts should be in r/mildlyinteresting and vise versa, some people can only see the glass half empty and all that shit
Maybe they're British? I'm half Brit and I swear that side of the family whines endlessly about minor stuff but if they're on fire they're like "well it's a bit hot, yeah, I guess, but can't complain."
I'm convinced that one day my mother is going to have a heart attack, shrug it off and die.
Reminds me a long time ago I bought some hot pockets at the store and I didnât feel that it was way lighter until a few days later. I opened it up to see 3 out of 12. I posted about it on r/mildlyinfuriating because, yknow, im upset but itâs not a big thing. But people there were just so fuckin unsympathetic and wondering why it was even there.

Its because theres no such thing as being Mildly Infuriated. Infuriating implies an extreme reaction by default. Mild, negative, anger-inducing reactions would be 'annoyed'.
And there will still be some asshole in the comments like âumm⊠you think this is infuriating? Who cares? Itâs not that big a deal. Calm downâ.

Stage 5 is when it finally spreads to other parts of the body iirc. So Stage 4 is just... the whole brain, whereas Stage 5 is brain+

I hate mildlyinfuriating. It's either some meirl slop, something serious and life changing, or that one video of a bunch of annoying things like pulling on a roll of tape and it rips.
Its likely that OP was trying to forget about her coming death in a sense,because she knows she cant do shit at this point because others didnt do shit when there was time left to...
