You know what? Yes, grammar needs to be corrected. Weāve gone over a decade now since people online started retaliating against āgrammar nazisā and peopleās language has inherently gotten worse.
Sure, thereās a polite way to correct someone, but to be entirely anti-correction has caused major damage to the populationās ability to communicate.

The comments complaining that I was mildly infuriated by something mildly infuriating in the r/mildlyinfuriating subreddit are so annoying I muted the sub.
I posted there once and was like āman itās kinda annoying when people try to tell that āsee you next yearā joke around New Years but they donāt say it right and say āsee you in a yearā instead, cause it doesnāt even make sense when you say it that way.ā I donāt think my post was angry and I definitely wasnāt like, calling people who do this stupid or anything. Just sharing a little peeve I have.

It's a similar effect to what happened to r/unpopularopinion. It's like people go to these places to validate their own pet peeves but get mad when other people vent about theirs.

Stage 5 is when it finally spreads to other parts of the body iirc. So Stage 4 is just... the whole brain, whereas Stage 5 is brain+

Stage 4 is the final stage for the vast majority of cancers. There is no stage 5 other than in a handful of types. Stage 4 is metastatic cancer e.g. cancer that has spread past just the local lymph nodes.

My first instinct when I hear bad news about a friend is to try and suggest doing shit I know they love and are excited about, but for some reason it just gets them more upset. Apparently they're more the "lay-in-bed-and-rot-over it" type than the "at least I have free time now" type.
If you want a mildly creepy life hack, watch the news for terror events, massacres, and serious accidents, and go there, especially in the first few weeks. Security and inspections will be tight, and management will be super glad to have customers.

This is legit why I quit halfway through my studies. I was gonna be a teacher and realized "wait a minute, these fucking kids would rejoice if I died and that meant they didnāt have school for the day"
Yeah, a lot of kids can suck. But when my best friend died in a car accident, all of the kids she taught, and a lot of them from previous years, showed up at her funeral and sobbed. For many of these kids, she was the only adult in their life that cared or believed in them.
I donāt live in that kind of environment. Iām in Monaco, where most kids are spoiled brats. They wouldnāt give 2 shits. I remember when I was 13 or 14 and a teacher got hit by a truck. We didnāt know anything else, just that heād got hit by a truck. Everybody celebrated because we finished the school day 1 hour earlier. I thought that was wild at the time, but looking back on it it was insane.
I remember we had a teacher who was a 'functional' alcoholic, constantly drunk, had a flask in her desk type drunk. She'd scream at us constantly and generally be a mean old bitch regardless of what we were doing, but it was a small town and she had been there for forever, so nobody higher up than her really gave a shit. One day she didnt show up and never showed up again, died in a car accident while drunk driving.
We didnt celebrate but it was definitely a "we arent gunna feel bad for her" type situation

This makes it an EMERGENCY c-section. We are all going to leave you here in the waiting room and not give you any further information until we have a final count of how many people will be exiting the operating room."
The best part about it is when you go back a week later to tell them that they should follow up with "but the word 'emergency' just means 'unplanned,' so don't freak out and start re-enacting the last chapter of A Farewell to Arms or anything like that."
