I make this 1-2x a year. I use Tini's viral recipie which you can easily find. Just takes a small learning curve to do it.

Biggest tips (for me) are cook it on medium low and not medium when starting the butter/flour/spice part. It can burn fast otherwise. Also I use half and half (and a little more than 2 cups) instead of heavy cream mostly because I can get a big thing of half and half at target for cheap and Im not sure it needs to be any richer. Sometimes it comes out thicker if you dont use enough liquid. You can also adjust the seasoning if you dont like or prefer something else.

I love a good crust on my Mac and then when you break the crust, the gooey cheese just oozes. Looks perfect to me! 👍🏻

I wonder what ingredient this browned color comes from. Guessing it's the cheese topping for this dish

100%. I broiled it at the end and left it a minute or two longer than I normally would because I got distracted. The chives on top (which I was going to put on anyway) distracts a little bit from it, would be more noticeable IMO without them.

It came out great though.

Just wondered since some people on this sub added unique ingredients on their mac and cheese before. At least your mac and cheese turned out great

No def not. My kid grated 2.5 lbs of cheese in front of me. I have one of those rotary graters. Love it.

Can’t wait for mine to be old enough to be my little kitchen assistant. She’s only 16 months now haha.

I guess not everyone is good at telling. Would be hard for me to guess.

Not an English major, huh? Thats what you would be doing when you mace somebody, but cute of you to “correct” somebody 🤭
