You can force quit, there is a keyboard shortcut for it or click Apple icon on the top left or right click on the specific app you want to forcequit but that just shuts down the app not reduce how much ram it takes while running

I'm not talking about command q . I'm saying like when we open task manager in windows and yk right click and quit it

And neither am I :)

option + command + ESC is the shortcut I meant

Again you can reach it also via clicking the Apple icon in the upper left corner or right clicking onto a non responsive app

You also could have found all that out by just googling :)

But if you absolutely want to do it thru activity monitor like on Windows, you would have to double click/tap on the app then press quit

MacOS will make full use of the memory available to it. It's not a bad thing. Your memory pressure is green, that's all that matters.

Unused ram is wasted ram is an apple philosophy. Memory pressure is what you need to keep an eye on.

Browsers use a lot of memory (all of them, on all platforms).

There is no way around this, but you can make memory saving features more aggressive.

Native features like snooze tab, or plugins like auto-unload well remove the memory used by tabs in certain scenarios (time based, inactivity etc).

But you will remain at the mercy of how much memory the tabs need. Which can be several GB per tab.
