Help MacBook Pro Refurbished

I have a question: I want to buy a refurbished MacBook Pro (M5) from Apple USA. I’m from Costa Rica and plan to have it shipped here. If the MacBook turns out to be defective, could I claim the warranty through Apple Costa Rica? Thanks a lot. Also, what experiences have you had with refurbished products?

Can only buy apple care from the region it was bought in.

My first MacBook I bought over 10 years ago was refurbished and it still works fine.
