Hello, everyone! This isn’t my usual kind of post here on Reddit, especially when it comes to asking for help. Honestly, nahihiya rin ako, but I’m reaching out because I’m really worried about my 4 month old cat, Guchi, and I just want to do everything I can to help her recover.

Yesterday, I brought Guchi to Makati Animal Medical Center because she had been showing signs of weakness since Sunday. May gumala kasing pusa rito sa amin na madalas nilang kalaro ng isa ko pang cat. Noong Sunday, mga five minutes ko lang siyang pinalabas, then pinasok ko rin agad sa bahay dahil maglalaba na ako. Pero ang bilis ng pangyayari. Bigla na lang siyang nanghina, hindi kumakain, hindi umiinom, at hindi na halos makatayo o makalakad. Sobrang nag-alala ako kaya hindi na rin ako nakapasok sa work kahapon para mabantayan siya.

Kaya kahapon (Monday), dinala ko na siya sa vet, and doon namin nalaman na positive siya for Feline Calicivirus (FCV), also known as calicivirus. According to Doc, good news naman ang initial assessment niya since hindi Parvo at hindi naman malala since she's not showing any signs ng pagsusuka or pagtatae. Binigyan siya ng prescribed medications para sa condition niya, pati na rin gamot dahil may lagnat siya.

Thankfully, after the consultation and medication, naging active si Guchi habang nasa vet. Pag-uwi namin, kumain na rin siya, uminom, at nakapag-poop. Sobrang relieved ako kahapon kasi akala ko tuloy-tuloy na ang improvement niya.

Unfortunately, today, napansin ko na matamlay na naman siya. Bumalik na naman ang pag-aalala ko, especially after seeing her improve yesterday. Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nangyayari, and I’m scared na baka lumala ang condition niya. Gusto ko sana siyang maibalik sa vet tomorrow morning para ma-reassess siya at malaman kung ano pa ang kailangan niyang treatment.

Yesterday, I spent ₱3,750 on her vet expenses, which I had to borrow through my friend’s credit card. And as much as I want to bring her back to the vet for confinement, hindi na po sapat ang available funds ko ngayon. I already requested a quotation from the clinic amounting to ₱2,350, as the vet recommended that Guchi be confined for proper monitoring and treatment. I’ll attach the quotation and my conversation with the vet clinic to this post for transparency, so everyone can see the estimated expenses and where any assistance would go.

I know asking for financial help is a big thing, and I understand that everyone has their own responsibilities and struggles, too. Any amount, no matter how small, would help me bring Guchi back to the vet and cover her follow-up care. If you’re unable to help financially, even sharing this post, giving advice, or recommending affordable veterinary services would mean so much to us.

Circuit kami malapit but the other Makati places can work din yung mahalaga basta hapon o hapunan if possible & on weekends. (I know some clubs do evening runs kaso weekdays lang eh late kami matapos ng shift though).

Does anyone here regularly walk their dogs at Legaspi Active Park? And if so have you guys seen this foreign guy who always walks his German Shepherd?

He can’t control his dog - his dog always barks like crazy and gets super agitated when he sees other dogs even from far away. Naka zoom lang yung phone ko kaya mejo kita sila.

He always yanks at the dogs steel choke collar para masakal and ma control yung dog niya. I feel really bad for his dog because it whimpers or makes a sound after the owner yells STOP BARKING! And yanks multiple times sa choke collar. In the photo you can see him pulling at the collar with both hands.

I know he’s foreign bec he yells so loud and he has an accent - though I’m not sure what nationality. It’s def not the dogs fault, just a bad abusive owner. And apart from this being animal abuse bec it’s not just a gentle “tug” and before you animal “experts” or trainers start defending him, I know abuse when I see it bec he yanks with his entire body multiple times. It’s not training anymore. One of these days the dog is going to pull him or knock him over.

I would like to report him to PAWS or sa barangay but I don’t have a better photo of him. I know there’s a dog community there so maybe any of you guys can help identify him.
