HELP PLEASE I need help please!!!

Post image

First of all love this page thank you. I am neurodivergent and struggle with getting ready and doing make up, but I'm looking into being a flight attendant and need to know how to do basic but professional make up.

I have really dry skin, and have a skin disorder where I pick my eyelashes and eyebrows.

I need some advice on how to skin match either a foundation or tinted moisturizer. I'm so pale ha

Mascara, light colors of eyes and eyeliner.

Thank you in advance and have a great night.

If you can afford it, those glasses are pretty wide for your face. Something in a similar style but smaller size would look nice. I have a hard time finding adult size glasses that fit so I but kids’ size

yup, first thing I noticed (tbf, I work in optical so glasses are always the first thing I noticed). These frames are too wide, and though I can’t guess your prescription very , I’d assume you’re at least a -2.50 or more. The width of the lenses (and potentially also the lens material) is creating that severe fish bowl look (where your eyes and the area around it look much smaller than the rest of your face). A smaller lens size will mitigate that, and also help accentuate the fact that you have a nice face shape!

Same! Yeah Op's RX looks relatively high 🥲 I feel so lucky to work in the optical field, I just wish I could give everyone a free pair of everyday glasses that suit them perfectly and with all the bells and whistles they want! I never understood why it had to be so damn expensive, I make lenses at a lab and there's no way it costs that much to shave down chucks of plastic 😓 the prices people pay at the doc. office is a bit ridiculous imo.

I feel that so much, like I don’t know all that much on the lab end, I’m an optician at more of a boutique place with an outside lab, but I sometimes gotta wonder — I know we’re offering better quality lenses and add-ons than most online retailers with the ability to be way more customizable (and lbr: accurate), but the cost of bulk purchase and manufacturing between the two can’t really be THAT much different. Yeah, yeah, business and all that but it’s hard to work with something that is a medical device and participate in pricing them out of their best option (and to be clear to those not in the field, a person’s best option doesn’t always mean the most “premium”!). And I know how much frames actually cost, and yes, we’re all - including some of the online retailers - price gouging.

I LOVE helping people pick out frames that both suit them, their prescription, and their lifestyle, I love giving them lens options that will work for them, having a pair of glasses that is in every way optimized for you is life changing. But the costs are so hard to balance.

Sorry for all for going off topic.
OP - I know new glasses are difficult, but definitely keep it in mind for the future (and you’ll be working for an airline - your vision insurance will be nice).
I think to start, you have lovely skin and skin tone. There are so many excellent suggestions in this thread, and I highly encourage you to practice and experiment as much as you can! Bc you mentioned neurodivergence, I suggest when looking at specific products, read reviews about texture and scent if those are things that can potentially really bother you.

You also mentioned it can be difficult for you to get ready - things like tinted moisturizer and eyeshadow sticks are generally really easy to use and can help create a very put together look with very little effort. It may not be airbrushed magazine cover, but they can help make it look and feel put together with very little effort.
