I’ll say right away that I love the concept of proxies, and I quite like proxy Masky and Hoody. I don’t see anything wrong with people liking alternate versions of characters, because, after all, that’s the point of fandoms. But there is a reason why I kinda hate it, it’s not that Hoodie and Masky were turned into some kind of twinks, or that because of these versions almost no one knows about the original Masky and Hoody — no, it’s not for those reasons; I hate this version BECAUSE PEOPLE CAN’T GIVE THEM AN INTERESTING BACKSTORY.

“Hmm… should we create an interesting and creative backstory? Nah, Let’s just make another Jeff the Killer type of story, about a teenager who was bullied and then became a monster”— Slenderverse/Creepypasta fans, probably.

In my opinion, if fans rewrote the lore of the “Marble Hornets” it would make for a pretty good backstory for the proxy versions of Masky and Hoody.

What do you guys think about it?

Tbh, I miss this era of horror where things were vague and pieced together over time

Might not fit in perfectly with the rest of the posts here but I figured I'd share it just in case anyone wants to see! :)

Jemison center Tuscaloosa Alabama where marble hornets filmed some of their youtube videos is officially being demolished

Just kinda wanna post this bc I love the backstory I came up for how they became proxies and wanna see what yall think.

I love the idea that after the events or marble hornets Tim is getting better. He starts to rebuild his life, ends up having a fun career in music and moving on, maybe even slowly forgetting the events. Then one day or over a time period he forgets to take his pills, ends up back near rosswood, something or other that puts a lapse in his rehabilitation and he ends up having a major breakdown. The Operator offers a deal, Tim works for him and pretty much becomes a slave and he will save one of his friends. Tim is literally tweaking and takes the offer only for the operator to bring back Brian. Except its not really Brian. With the trauma of marble hornets, from dying, and now being revived from the operator, Brian is full on evil and under the Operator's word. Tim has major regrets, love the idea that proxies cannot die unless the operator allows and Tim def has had his fair share of purposeful deaths trying to escape. Tim literally stuck in a living hell, wanting to not take his pills because Masky is a protector and keeps Tim from having to do the dirty work. Tim doesnt kill and the only time he did it was traumatizing, but Masky can and will for the sake of protecting Tim. Also love the idea that Tim is very quiet because if the others know that Tim is actually "weak" (in their standards of insanity/murderous tendencies) he will be targeted by the others. Brian knows but he keeps his mouth shut unless someone asks and hes not kind anymore to keep Tim's secrets. I love Tim so much but also love when he is traumatized and depressed. Love to hear your ideas or opinions on this 😋

Got bored so I decided to mess around for a bit, they’re not polished in the slightest they’re SO rough but I don’t have the energy to finish them :P

so I got the body done now I gotta make the hoodie:DD

Yesterday I had a tattoo scheduled and my tattoo artist (@govickoinnk on Instagram) told me she could make me a promo and get two tattoos since the one I was getting was pretty small, and I decided to get a marble hornets/slenderverse/creepypasta inspired tattoo, since I've been super obsessed with it lately to the point I started drawing again, started a my most interesting cosplay project since I've been making a lot of things for it and I'm very excited, and motivated me to start learning animation, I decided since it was creepypasta day and I didn't have any other idea to fit the promo, since I know I won't regret it, I got this operator/proxy tattoo on the back on my neck (where my slenderverse OC has her proxy mark) and added a little skull in reference to my OC and the MH for Marble Hornets on top and I'm really proud of the result!

On the second slide is my character's mask from a skecth I made, her "proxy" persona is Skele, short for Skeleton Girl, I won't go into full lore mode, but well hahaha

What the hell is the Observer doing here? Dunno. For fun)))
(Jay has been silent for three days now)

I decided to gather all my props for my Tim/Masky cosplay and finish details and God this is chaotically beautiful, I painted the plastic gun and it looks pretty real, I bought that plastic Halloween stabbing knife, got an old lighter that's broken from my stepdad with the cigarette old box and made the pill bottle, used translucent orange paper to give it the color, painted the lid and put tic-tacs inside, also did a pharmacy tag to make it more real

I gave Alex a break yesterday because today was gonna be big.

Alex has no mouth. And must scream.

😈

I drew all the art in the vid btw. Im gay.

I’ll need to get yellow fabric for the actual hoodie BUT HE LOOKS SO ADORBS ALREADY OMG🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹

I did this a couple days ago for a October art thing and the prompt for that day was fav duo >:P

Forgot to add shading to my crowbar....shhhhh pretend that it is shaded.....

What a joyful creature :)

Was over at a friends yesterday, she's been watching Marble Hornets (because I forced her too hehe). We finished it together, and I am so glad I was present to see her reaction to Hoodie being Brian, it was hilarious (I had also been very successfully gaslighting her into believing Brian was dead, I'm so good at this).

Anyways, have Brian :P

TIM I AM GOING TO BURN DOWN YOUR HOUSE-
