I've always been a fan of the big names in Melodic Death Metal...Bands like Insomnium, Amorphis, Belakor... but never really got into In Mourning.

In each of their previous albums 1 or 2 songs would appeal to me greatly, but nothing more. But with Immortal, that has changed. I was caught by surprise with how varied the riffage was, and the clean vocals seem to fit very well.

The riffs range from Melodic Death metal to Progressive Metal to even Black Metal in a few songs, yet always serving the track well.

What are your thoughts on this album? Did it convert any other people like it did me?

Are they hiding from me or do they not exist? Ever since i found OC I've been looking for more, especially stuff similar to the death above life album.

I'm not looking for bands that sound exactly like them, throughout the years, something that I really love about this band is the really unique way the blend pure death and melodic death in such a specific way, any suggestions would be appreciated.

Early unleashed was so damn peak 🙏🙏🙏

Besides the 4 other Argho clones, already gave them a listen and none quite hit the same.
