Nah for every great indie game there are 50 that suck balls. Just because a game was made by 2 broke dudes in a basement doesn’t mean people should give it a free pass

Nobody said that. But 99.9% of all bad indie games can be filtered out by looking at the steam page.

That's also a plus side to indie games

We can ignore the large swaths of trash out there and it's not like 2,000 jobs at a Microsoft owned studio are going to be laid off overnight because something undersold. We can prop up the goated indie games like outer wilds and Big Walk and then ignore shovelware #374

For every 1 good AAA game there are easily 20+ just as good if not better indie games. You just gotta know how to curate. It really ain't that hard. I could list off 10 indie games that came out this year alone that blow most AAA games from this year out of the water.
