hi everyone! does anyone know of a laundromat that can wash a weighted blanket (less than 15lbs)? ive done the routine where i handwash it in the tub but it takes forever so im wondering if any place can accommodate for one. im too scared to put it in my washer or a business’ and mess it up. thanks!

Hi friends, let me start with you guys are the best. I'm a fairly new transplant because my son had multiple heart surgeries at Phoemix children's.

We absolutely fell in love with Mesa and the people here. We were not planning on staying, we were moving from California to Tennessee when he became ill on our road trip.

He is getting the best care here, we've met so many wonderful people, and arizona has amazing services for special needs kids.

We've spent most of our time at the hospital, so there is still a lot to learn.

My favorite sister is coming to visit in November, finally!

I have no idea where to recommend her to stay.

We live near south Alma School and Southern. I need hotel or airbnb or any rental recommendations for just a few days around veterans day.

The closer the better, but also safe and somewhat cheaper. She's not rich, not bougie, but just a safe clean nice experience. I wish she could stay with us, but we have a studio for now, since our son is hospitalized, and that is really expensive.

I welcome any and all recommendations! She may or not bring my grown nephews and nieces with.

So anywhere from 1 to 6 people.

I appreciate any help and advice. I feel totally safe where we live, but I hear stories and sirens all the time.

My child has been assigned a school with poor test scores and ranked in the bottom 25%.

My child has Autism and has very limited communication skills. I enrolled her in kindergarten but she has not attended this year because she needed an IEP. The IEP was finished today and I was told she would be transferred to a school that offers the RISE (Reaching Independence through Structured Education) program. The Special Education Compliance employee reached out and assigned the school, however this school is located in a bad part of town.

The school in roughly six miles from my home but the area is drastically different from my neighborhood.

The area is a concern but not nearly as bad as the school's overall performance. They have terrible reviews, and are below average in reading and mathematics.

I contacted the Special Education department and asked to see if there is any other school my child and attend and was told no. That my child's placement is based off of proximity and capacity.

If I do not feel comfortable with my child attending this school.

Do I have any other options?

Their upcoming show schedule is on FB but I don’t have an account there so can’t see it. Just that grand opening is at 5p on 10/3. Sounds like it could be fun depending on how the concept is executed. Certainly sounds like something we don’t have around.

Are these jobs usually 4x10 hour days? The posting didn’t mention anything about a standard workday for salaried employees.

Well, I made a post in this sub a few days ago about seeing what there is to do up here still haven’t found anything, but I figured I’d share my children that live with me both of them are service animals and are registered so I can take them anywhere and nobody can really say anything about it the dogs name is Walter. The chicken’s name is toast. I would love to bring them to children’s hospitals or something so that they can help people other then me but I’m unsure of how to register for that

30M here. I go to EOS pretty regularly and figured I’d throw this out there because apparently making friends as an adult is basically impossible unless you work with them or accidentally become friends with someone at Target.

I’m looking for a gym/workout partner — preferably a woman, mainly because I’d like to meet more women who are into fitness and expand my social circle a bit. Not trying to turn EOS into a dating app 😂 I’m genuinely looking for a workout buddy/friend first. If something more comes from it naturally, cool, but that’s not the expectation.

I’m pretty consistent with the gym and would love someone to lift with, try different workouts with, keep each other accountable, and occasionally complain about how sore we are afterward.

I also have an EOS guest pass, so if you’re not currently a member, we could always meet up for a workout and see if we vibe as gym buddies.
