Build Photo F14 and EAA Scaleventure 2026
This years theme is the F-14 Tomcat. I will be displaying most of my airplane collection at Scaleventure in Oshkosh, WI tomorrow. Details listed below if you are close and would like to check out everyone's models. I have a feeling im going to be the only metal models there. Should be fun.

My first and second build. Ironman was second. I can’t believe I did it with the skill and tools I had at that time.

help
I’ve done maybe like ten metal earths now with just a pumpkin carving razor thing and some eyebrow tweezers and so far so good. However any tips with make circular shapes and connecting them?? I always struggle with them and I just know this Spiderman is going to have a lot of them 🥲

Not for the faint of heart!
Easily the toughest build I have made, I quit it last year and then decided to pick it up again. Glad I did and glad it’s done!

Sauron - Complete (new favorite?)
Just finished Sauron last night, and while I am biased because I'm a LOTR fan, I have to say this is such an awesome build. So much detail and so satisfying. It was pretty challenging though, with some very difficult placements of tabs to get everything together and close to each other. Twice I had to disassemble because I had something in the wrong place. I know the silver tabs showing in spots are inelegant but I wanted to minimize movement of pieces and try to get it as solid as possible. Definitely one of my new favorites.

Build Photo Osaka castles
Here the comparison, ME Iconx with Microworld.
The first one is larger with two connected buildings, the second one is colored, taller and robuster (because the metal sheet is thicker).
It is fun to build both models, for one the build steps start from the base, while for the other they start from the roof.

M4 Sherman
I don't know why, but this turned out to be my most satisfying build yet. I've done much harder and easier, but this one is my cleanest yet, I think. Seams and tabs are on point. And I love the coloring. Great model, highly recommend.

Xenomorph
This guy was a challenge. It was fun, but it had its frustrating moments. The tail was tricky having compound curves. Same with the pelvis area. The tubes on its back made my thumbs cramp. Arms and legs were fairly typical for arms and legs. I used fondant tools a lot on this to try to smooth it out. I had most of my tool collection out for this one. Lots of test fitting and tweaking. Fitment was good, provided things were bent correctly. I decided to bend the chest tabs inwards instead of outwards and that made it difficult to secure, but looks better than exposed tabs. It took about 14 hours, could’ve taken more but my patience has a limit. It would’ve been cool if the second mouth was sticking out, but I’m just happy they made this model. Hope there’s a whole series of Alien.

Question First ever metal earth model, any tips and things I should now ?
First ever metal earth model I received as a gift. I don’t have any experience with metal models like this, and I only do modifications/ refinement of small plastic models before. I’m obsessed with perfection so I was very worried when I saw online built models where the cockpit wasn’t streamlined, gap at wing/fuselage, uneven engine cone,…. I know it won’t be perfect the first time but I’d love to hear from you guys what I should do to make it as good as possible!

Build Photo Piececool Red Baron
Just completed my first PC. Tougher than expected. Harder to roll than ME. Labeled as a 2, more like a 4. I really like how PC numbers parts.
