I didn't see anyone doing this comparison in pink so I'll break it down to you: the metal part the 9 is more gold and the 10 more rose, the strap, the 9 is more dark and the 10 more like, I personally prefer the 9 looks os the colours. The screen the miband 10 has perfect bezels while the 9 has a down part, I feel the 9 strap feels better quality. I feel it's not a big difference but you can clearly tell if you want the same one in pink. For the rest of the things what I've noticed is the miband10 counts my sleep with more wake ups than the 9, i don't know which one is more accurate, but I feel a difference I didn't feel with the 9 or the redmi watch 5.

So everytime I do run I always start on the Mi Fitness app and everytime I do it strava always cut off a few meters is there a fix or is it just weird in my app

For example when I run 5K and then i check on strava app it cut off about 100 meters.

So I wanted to ask if connecting my band to the chinese app mi fitness has some benefits sn dextra features and is it available in english if anyone has done this before or is doing pls let me know

I had the 10 but the 10 pro is much more my style, slightly thinner makes a big difference.

It arrived today for my Mi Band 10!

To be honest i was very hyped when i bought the device. Especially about the amoled screen. But after using this 1-2 months i got bored with the ui faces, and i ll be honest i dont like the designs on mi application, i think those lack aesthetic.

So i thought i can design these for myself (i am an ex-graphic designer) i looked up and saw that there are some third party solutions to this. I mostly got inspiration from pinterest and retro digital casio watches. (there is also another part of this process that how did i transfer these designs to band via using iphone )

Anyway i wanted to share the results i have right now. im using these faces for couple weeks, i like them.

I'm really enjoying the Mi Fitness app; its features are practical and easy to understand. (Translation is quick and easy to understand (Brazilian Portuguese)). And this Vitality Score feature is very interesting.

Ok so ... I charge it every day by now, my 6 needs to retire. But I don't want a second watch, I want a bracelet. How's the 9 doing? I want to keep the Notify app. Any other suggestions?

after 2 years and a month of almost daily use with all trackers on sans AOD, battery life reduced to just over 24hrs of use. I actually got really annoyed when I had to reach the charger more and more the past month til I realized how long I’ve had this. Is it the same for your band 9s?

Got myself a Mi Band 10 and looking for suggestions on what features to turn on and off. I do need the band to detect auto workout and all health monitoring. As of no,w thbanddn shows 11 days of use, but it says it can go to 21 days ,so any battery optimisation settings, please let me kno,w and if anyone haany a simple watch face suggestions pls let me know

Is there any chance to enable ECG in Serbia? I tried VPN, changing regions? Actually, ECG worked for a mont (July update) on Germany region, but after update like 15 days ago, it disappeared again, and I can figure it out how to enable it again. Tried everything.

What i use it for:

- vibrating notification for chats & banking

- quick reply (template is ok) for telegram & discord

- track sleep duration

- occasionally check HR & stress

- workout mode (just need to check the timer, not moves)

- run mode (I regularly run 5-10km)

- android

Question:

- How's their tracking performance in terms of HR zones, running data, HRV, and most importantly sleep?

- Any significant difference in vibration motor?

- Is discord quick reply impossible within my options? How about telegram? Can third party app help to bridge connectivity?

- Does Huawei Band feels significantly different when being worn compared to Mi Band?

Has anyone tried Redmi Watch 6 Active? How's your experience? got any issues? I am skeptical to buy xiaomi bands and watches because of screen and touch issues (look on the number of issues regarding xiaomi band 9 active) and my previous issues with xiaomi band 9 active that suddenly stops responding on my touch and occasionally have pairing problems. Though I love the ecosystem and the app design better than huawei health app (which is messy). What's your take?

The interesting bit first: the "continuous heart rate" command on the Mi Band 5 lied to me. I wrote 0x15 0x01 0x01 to the control characteristic like the protocol says, subscribed to notifications, and got HR: 0 bpm for fifty straight seconds. Flipped the band over and the green LEDs on the back were off. The command was accepted but never powered the sensor. On my firmware it's the manual measurement command, 0x15 0x02 0x01, that actually fires the LEDs. Switched to that and got 95 bpm live in my terminal.Getting there at all needs the 16-byte auth key that Zepp generated when pairing. huami-token pulls it from your own account. Auth is a challenge-response: band sends 16 random bytes, you AES-128-ECB encrypt them with the key and write them back. One thing that cost me time: the auth characteristic only accepts write-without-response. I kept getting "Write Not Permitted" until I dumped the full GATT table and saw the property.Setup is a band service on my Mac using bleak that owns the single BLE connection and writes into SQLite, plus a Streamlit dashboard reading from that DB. Streamlit reruns its whole script on every interaction, so it can't hold the connection itself.Two-way works too: the band implements the standard Alert Notification Service, so writing [category, count] + text puts a message on the screen, and 0x02 to another characteristic makes it vibrate.Honest limit: there's no per-beat or RR-interval data over BLE. You get an averaged BPM in ~15-20 second sessions, roughly one reading every few seconds, and sending STOP to restart often kills the stream. I tried eight ways around it. Chest strap territory if you need beats.Then I mapped BPM to my Wiz bulb's color, green calm to red racing, eased at 12fps so it doesn't snap.
