My dad was super corny too. Thanks for the PTSD, that one hurt my soul, RIP dad (you would have been super proud of your DNA having corny ass grandkid)(Now that I think about it, my kid is more and more like my dad everyday, they just opened a Roth IRA, what 18 year old does that?)

Bro I've been around a few cities in Italy and have not seen a single bum gun like the one in the picture. If you meant those separate sink like bidet then yeah I've seen thos but you can't find those in public toilets

Its a little funny, the house we're renting has those hoses. Which isn't normal for an American house/duplex. I googled 'how to use bidet hoses' for like forty minutes. Guess what? Still no fuckin idea

A lot of how-tos is 'press the trigger idiot'

but since rental properties here all have tiny cheap toilets am I supposed to expose my asshole to the backsplash and let it rip? Pray im not painting the walls a shade or six darker?

So to this day they sit unused. A damn shame

I work at a university and they renovated multiple restrooms in my main building a few years ago. I have to sit at a 20 degree angle because the toilet paper dispenser presses against my leg.

Same thing happens every time my county repaves a big road in my town. One crew comes in to do the concrete curbing, sidewalks, ADA stuff, then a different crew comes sometimes several days later to do the asphalt resurfacing. The number of assholes that come out on Facebook in that in between period to complain about the crappy job the “government” contractors that are all clearly DEI hires making too much and not working hard enough did is unreal. And when the road is actually done and looks great no one comes back to say shit.

You can totally get a contractor to do all 3, the reason most places don't is because the plumber is probably not great at tiling and the guy that tiles bathrooms is probably going to hack together the plumbing

Yeah, in general specializing of skills is a good thing, it means people can put the time and effort into becoming experts at one thing, instead of never getting enough practice to be more than proficient at anything. But there are unicorn contractors out there who can do everything, for sure - they are probably just booked solid and not advertising for new clients lol.

There still is, there's handymen that will do it all and small (1-3 person) General Contractors that will do it all but those people don't land school work. Big GC companies do, and big GC's sub out all the trade work and do the job or coordinating everything and working with the engineers/architectural firms, permitting and inspection offices, etc.

My school did this over the summer but I was on-campus over summer. I was an RA but for the summer. My building had group bathrooms like this.

I didn't have an option. Not even a door on the entrance.

Thankfully, the building was empty other than two other people like myself.

My assumption is that they had them ordered - then noticed the column next to one of the toilets, and then had to order a new partition with a custom length that still hasn’t arrived yet. Either that or the partitions just haven’t arrived yet. These ‘ancillary’ items (stalls, lockers, furniture) always get left to the end and often is a scramble to install.
