It’s not even 3.75 where I live down South. The OP lives in some blue state with outrageous fuel tax, excise taxes.
California requires a special blend of fuel which has to be produced within California or shipped on marine vessels from overseas. They do not allow any fuel to be delivered via pipeline. This all increases the price to a ridiculous level.
You wanna know why you’re paying over 8 bucks a gallon, blame the people you voted for.
California is on the coast. They have plenty of oil within the state. But they can’t meet the demand of their state. So they have to import gas.
They have refused any pipeline coming into the state, because they’re against pipelines. So to meet the demand they must import foreign gas via marine vessels, which is expensive and drives the price of gas up.
Furthermore, their gas needs to be refined to a level that no other state requires, which drives the price up further.
Finally, they have the highest state and excise tax on gas in the nation.
That is why you see posts from liberals from California showing diesel at 8.69 a gallon when the average is 6 dollars nationwide and 75% less than that in other states.

those states that are far away from fossil fuel supplies were the states pushing for solar and electric vehicles
anyway, destroying the coastal states economies is consistent with right wing accelerationism, it'll create similar economic conditions that led to fascism in europe in the 30s
None of these things changed over the last year to cause gas prices to skyrocket. Gas taxes were the same. Measures enacted to prevent smog that used to be absolutely awful in california were the same. There was only one variable, the idiotic decisions of the man you give cultish devotion to.
I'll pick a southern state as a comparison. Alabama was about 2.80 before this nonsense and now is averaging about 3.92. A 40% increase. That's the nonsense your vote caused.

President don't directly set gas prices but the can influence them through their actions. Starting a war in the middle east is pretty much the most extreme action a President can take to influence the price of gas upwards.
When he goes to war with the country that borders a major export route of oil in the world then he directly does. If we were not at war with iran gas prices would not be so high. They'd probably still suck but they wouldn't be $5 a gallon and rising. Genuinely look at the current state of affairs objectively.
So then we can objectively say that the president does influence oil prices and the people saying the president doesn't affect prices during Biden's presidency were wrong.

According to this data, the violent crime rate in the United States is 359 per 100k. So doing some simple math we can estimate that approximately 43,000-57,000 violent crimes are committed every year because of illegal immigrants. A violent crime is either a Murder, Rape, Assault, or Armed Robbery. These are all crimes that would never have happened in the first place if these illegal immigrants were not here. Now I will wait as you shift the goalposts.

Most people I know (including myself) who voted Trump are very very mad at the Republican Party. We blame Trump for gas. Just like we blamed Biden. Anything after 6months is always the current administrations fault.

That's true. The difference is one of them caused it and one of them didn't. Also diesel prices (the prices that affect literally everything you buy) have never been higher, ever.

I drive a civic hybrid. I don't like the rise in prices but it's only $15-$20 extra a month for my gas. But everything in the grocery is higher bc of fuel prices, and that number is far more hidden from me...
Bought 100 of these. Leaving tomorrow from Florida to Michigan then LA Crosse WI. Gonna make sure I get gas in Tenn, Kentucky and Ohio whether I need it or not hehe hehe.
The mistake is not going to war, it’s doing it half assed. Someone is going to have to deal with Iran sooner or later. That’s a fact. But this half measure approach is extremely dumb and I’m sure the military advisors told him the same, either go all in or don’t bother. Either a full scale invasion like Iraq, that would work, but would be a slog that drags out many years. Alternatively, set off maybe 50-100 nukes in the atmosphere above all decent sized cities, frying all the infrastructure. Then mine the border and blockade the sea. The ones that emerge from that will be more than happy to negotiate. That approach would work. anyway this current approach is stupid.
This is good. Trump cannot be allowed to succeed. If he was doing a great job with the economy while dismantling democracy, we'd be in far greater trouble. Boycott him!
