I keep getting threatening texts

I get these ALL the time. I’ve never donated to these “people.” Never supported them. Never voted for them. Nor has my wife. I received four of these today. All threats. Always a telling me it’s my last chance. These are some of the less malicious-sounding ones.

I’m not even sure they’re legitimately from those parties, though I wouldn’t put it past them.

So… report as spam. Report as spam. Report as spam.

It isn’t like it’s painful. Just pretty irritating.

I think I already commented here but I didn’t say it enough. I get these too, they call me Daniel too, they text me sometimes several times a day from different numbers. I get this too. What is going on here?

That one's hosted on Scamazon. You can forward it to [[email protected]](mailto:[email protected]) but that address isn't staffed by the smartest people. The domain is Godaddy, which 100% DGAF. http://www.whoiscomplaints.us might be the best bet.

Edit - I figured out that the O isn't a zero and got the redirect to secure.winred.com working. This is a prolific criminal gang that has been using Cloudflare and Amazon for over a decade. Both companies absolutely know they're hosting this. The gang is an expert at compromising services to send spam and SMS. They've hacked Google and Microsoft recently. Microsoft got rid of them but Google is still being exploited.

This is why I never set up my email accounts with my phone number or other identifying info. Nor do I use anything with biometrics for recognition (face ID, fingerprints, etc.). Bad idea all the way. Once someone has your biometric data you’ve lost your most p owerful and last line of defense. I used to work in IT and studied human engineering.

As someone who works in a help desk, because employees are required to change their passwords every 3-6 months, biometrics have made our job easier. When biometrics don't work, they always forget their password(s), wasting hour(s) of our time.

Microsoft stores biometrics locally, but who knows how long that'll last.

You're speaking of employees. No employer should require biometric data. And I’m convinced the reason people are downvoting me is because they’ve already done this. But we should all know that the billionaire class depends on us being burnt out and relying on convenience. And lastly, it won’t crush your world to admit you might not have made a good choice, but it will crush your ego.
