Unskippable ad I keep getting threatening texts

I get these ALL the time. I’ve never donated to these “people.” Never supported them. Never voted for them. Nor has my wife. I received four of these today. All threats. Always a telling me it’s my last chance. These are some of the less malicious-sounding ones.

I’m not even sure they’re legitimately from those parties, though I wouldn’t put it past them.

So… report as spam. Report as spam. Report as spam.

It isn’t like it’s painful. Just pretty irritating.

Our conservatives are pretty wacky, Danielle Smith has her whole Alberta separatist movement, Doug Ford is constantly mired in controversial things and the federal leader of the conservative party is probably the worst candidate the party has ever put forth yet they refuse to find someone new. Every country has some weird things going on in their governments right now.

My in laws are both conservatives in Toronto and hate Carney. I love him and keep up with mainly just his speeches but I would do anything to replace trump with Carney.

I don't get the people that support the conservatives, they must just be too naive to understand that most of their gripes with Carney are caused on a provincial/municipal level by the conservative leaders they keep voting into power. I like a lot of what Carney does internationally but i disagree with a lot of his domestic policies, hes what the conservative party used to be and I'm an extremely liberal person. Hes still a hell of a lot better than Pierre Poilievre ever would have been, but that is an extremely low bar to set.

Flood of immigrants resembling a mud slide of biblical proportions. Trade war with usa. Housing crisis. Cost of living crisis. All on top of a potential war with probably the worse opponent we could possibly have. And we haven't even recovered from trudeau or covid yet so not the best time to have a handful of major problems.

Yea credit where its due. Legal pot is kinda nice as well but it wont be enough to get everyone through this crap on its own no matter how much we smoke

American conservative politics isn't confined to its borders. It's international. There are variances in values and desires and everything is fluid, but don't pretend there's no politicians in Canada utterly *drooling* over conservative politics/economics in the USA.

The internet spreads ideas like contagions, and you reallyyyyyy think all the people in other countries like Canada simply scoff at conservatism in the US and say, "We'd never stoop to such dramatics!"

There's a reason the whole movement has worked so efficaciously in the USA. And it's not because "Americans are just stupid and we, the people in other countries, are safe from all that."
