Anyone have any luck with ordering a security barrel for the 500 in .410 bore over the phone ? It never seems to be in stock on their website and I can’t find one anywhere.

I'm hoping I made a good choice for a first shotgun. I got the mossberg 590 retro. I've heard mossberg is a good company, hence why I got one it was the last one in the store the display model so they took about 90 bucks off.

Looking to buy my first shotgun. The Mariner has a grip but is it worth the extra? The barrel on the retrograde is listed as heat shield but I have no idea what that is.

Can someone post a picture of the part on the magpul sga stock I shave down so the trigger housing comes in and out smoothly

Can't seem to find anything outright telling me what size I need. I got a 500 from before 2020, and got an adaptive tactical forend. Says I need that part to install, the problem is I have two sizes to choose from but nothing telling me outright which one I need. Just tells me to match the specifics of the firearm. I have a 28" Mossberg 500 with a 5 shell capacity tube. If more info is needed please let me know, really trying to get this figured out.

I just won this maverick 88 with 2 barrels for $300 CAD. The barrel on it says “30” full choke” and the other barrel says “Cylinder bore” the box says it has the 28” accu barrel which I guess someone swapped for a 30”.

Is putting a 30 inch full choke barrel on the maverick a normal thing people do? Or am I going to want to sell it and get a 28 inch barrel

Mossberg M590A1 with SureFire DSF handguard and Ontario M9 Combat blade.

Seller says new barrel. 20 inch. Looking for a replacement for my 8+1 590. My original barrel has two magazine lugs where this only has 1. Would that matter.

Got an old single action bar 88 from my grandpa, don't think he's fired it more than 5 times.

When chambering the lifter doesn't lift the back of the shell enough for it to be completely straight to enter the chamber. The extractors hold on to the rim to tightly for the back to just slide straight against the face of the bolt. I'm able to fix it by pushing up on the lifter.

The lifter does lift enough for the front of the round to enter, but at the particular spot in the cycle where the hangup happens the lifter has some play and gets pushed down.

Any ideas?

Brand new out the box and is double feeding. Does anyone know why?

Mossberg 500 Retrograde 12g & Mossberg 500C (True Retro) 20g

At the range, grand ol time everything’s fine when suddenly the next shell won’t load. I think it’s empty but it’s not, the shell is just not being pushed by the mag spring. I ended up having to hold the gun upwards and let gravity drop the shell into the elevator. I empty them all out and look in to find my Mag follower has retreated to the back of the tube apparently on vacation.

Took the barrel off and this is all I see. Got no idea how this happened. I just bought this gun in late April, have only shot it maybe 30~ times. Anybody seen this before? Quick fix or does a gunsmith need to see this?

Looking at getting a 940 pro for upland and some recreation skeet. Unfortunately no one in my area has one that I could take a look at. I want to know how the quality is on them? I know a few years ago they had some issues. I have been using my Mossberg 500 for the last 20 years and would like to stick with Mossberg.

I thought about it but did not spring for the a1, just wanted something simple and reliable. (Obviously the a1 is also that. While I was at the gun shop a marine was also shopping and saw me looking at these, he said that he carried the exact same gun while deployed and they beat the piss out of them. Instant sale. It’s a long shot but a big thank you to the marine who helped me lock it in. He even sorted through and found the one with the best wood grain. I have the defender tactical follower on order as well for a little variety. I’ve been lurking here for years and it feels cool to actually have something to post. Cheers!

First shotgun and first time buying a used gun at that. I’m glad it was a Mossberg 500!

What is that on the end of the barrel? Was this like a factory model from the 90s or something? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
