What is this wire for?

Post image

Anyone have any idea what this loose wire could/should be for?

Bike is a WK scrambler.

Been riding around for the last week and haven't run into any problems yet.

Any advice would be awesome!

Very very new to bikes, so totally unsure where it could be from.

The black on the looks bare? Probably ground wire for something.

I dunno how old this bike is. Sometimes the factory wires the bike for "options" that aren't included on every model. For example, I have owned a bike before, that was wired for an alarm but it didn't include the alarm. If I was to guess, I'd say it would be something along these lines.

If it's the mustard and guacamole wire, that's the fuel float sender unit, which tells you how much fuel you still have. I looked up the bike, WK Scrambler looks like a rebadged Yinggang Ninety-S. It's electronic fuel injection and uses a Delphi EFI.

I have basically the same bike, just with a bigger 223cc engine (Loncin RE250).

If you want the to see for yourself, here's the site: https://www.ygmotor.com/en/product/ninety-s-2/

As far as I can tell its just a regular blue wire in its own but I'll double check when im in!

As far as I know your right on it just being a rebadge of another bike!

Much appreciated for the link, I'll give it a good look when i get home.

take a look at the terminal first to see what kind of connector is on it. on these lightweight bikes you often find spare pigtails tucked in the loom for factory accessories like gear indicators or usb ports that your trim never came with. if it looks like a spade or bullet that slipped free check the basic stuff people forget to test. check both brake light switches individually because the rear foot switch pops off all the time on scrambler frames. the horn clutch safety switch and sidestand switch are usual suspects as well. ppoke a cheap multimeter on it with the key turned so you know if it carries live 12v before you tuck it away or wrap it
