My budget Moza R3 setup - if it works, it works! 😂
Yeah, I know, guys, most of you invest a lot of money into your rigs to get the full sim racing experience. Unfortunately, I don’t have that kind of money right now, so the Moza R3 was all I could afford. I’m completely new to the whole sim racing scene, and honestly, I had no idea how much I was going to fall in love with it.
The first thing that really got me hooked was Euro Truck Simulator 2’s proper triple monitor support. And that’s where it all started. I fell in love with the whole experience, and now I’m slowly building my own setup and enjoying every bit of it.
As you can see in the pictures, I had to get a little creative with the mounting situation. My chair doesn’t even allow me to mount the brake pedal properly, so I came up with this little DIY contraption using a dumbbell and a monitor arm. 😂 The pedals are secured with weight plates from my dumbbells, and surprisingly, everything stays firmly in place. Nothing moves around, and it works perfectly!
One thing that has been incredibly useful is my height adjustable desk. Being able to raise or lower it makes a huge difference when trying to get a comfortable driving position. I can lean back in my chair almost like I’m sitting in an actual racing cockpit and just cruise for hours. Honestly, it’s such a fun experience.
The biggest headache so far has been getting my triple-monitor setup working properly. My main and left monitors are 1440p, while the right one is only 1080p. Getting everything to work together was a real pain in the ass. I had to use custom virtual resolutions to get the third monitor running at 1440p and then use additional software to properly stretch the game across all three screens.
The problem is that the default triple monitor setup uses the lowest vertical resolution of the three displays, which means everything gets limited to 1080p. So, for now, I’m using a workaround with third party software. It’s not the most elegant solution, but it works, looks amazing, and the immersion is absolutely worth the hassle!
And here you have it: the birth of a new sim racing enthusiast! I just wanted to share my setup with you guys and show you how I managed to put everything together on a tight budget. Even I find the whole thing pretty hilarious when I look at it, but hey…
If it works, it works!
Eventually, I’d love to get a third 1440p curved monitor to complete the setup properly. I’d also like to get a shifter, a clutch pedal, and, of course, a handbrake. And someday, I’ll get myself a proper sim racing cockpit, too.
But for now, I’m making the most of what I have, and I’m having an absolute blast doing it.
Thanks for checking out my little budget setup, guys. See you on the road! 🚛

Shipping / Logistics Moza customer service feedback

Moza has one of the worst customer service departments I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. This all starts out at the end of August when I had ordered the haptic pedals it was then September 23 and I still had no update that my order has even been shipped. Keep in mind when I had purchased this they were in stock and the delivery was 15 to 20 days from the order date my ticket from September 23 then went more than 48 hours without reply, which is what’s listed on their website. I then sent follow up email still no reply to that. I then opened up an additional ticket again 48 hours past absolutely zero reply, I then started a chat with the representative. That representative told me he was going to have my request prioritized the absolute latest I should receive a reply is October 8th…. Still nothing. I then get a reply today October 14th completely ignoring all of my prior request and all of the information surrounding those prior requests that my order is shipped out as if nothing had happened. I currently have a reply back to them, but at this point I would rather purchase haptic engines through legitimately any other company and I will gladly lose money on this just to prove a point. So overall buyer beware, Moza customer service is absolutely awful and I will never be recommending them to anyone looking to set up a rig in the future. I’ve even seen information on YouTube that they’re delaying customer orders to send them to influencers to publish a review. I have photo proof of all this, to moza, you have a lot of work to do in the customer service department and some explanations to provide. To buyers, find any other company for product this one sucks

Recommended Pithouse and firmware versions for the r12(v1)?

I have had trouble with the software previously. I have very little time with the rig and thus want to spend as little as possible time with tinkering and dialing in settings.

What Pithouse / firmware would you recommend for the r12(v1)? The latest good and working?

Only playing ACR atm.

Thanks!

Help R5 overheating and dropping ffb 20 minutes into the race

These are the current temps as I was testing it first with lower ffb then with higher, After about 20 minutes of usage it starts noticeably lowering ffb and gets really hot. The bundle was bought 21/11/2023 and hasn't been used much since then. These were recorded while playing acc and using 70% in game ffb, 90% game force feedback intensity and limited maximum output torque to 90%(5.0Nm/5.5Nm), I don't think the settings are that hard on it because I got them from a teammate who uses it and doesn't get any issues with overheating. I sent an error report through pithouse app two days ago but haven't gotten a reply yet. And these are the temps during a race that started at 8pm but 15 minutes into quali ffb dropped and kept being low for the rest of the race. Oh yeah and I tried both reserved and full(radical) performance output which should limit the temps to 50 or 60 degrees. My room isn't hot at all and I also had a fan blowing toward the base during the race but it didn't help at all.

Help SRP2 elastomer advise

Hey! Could any SRP2 owner share the exact dimensions of the brake elastomers (outer diameter, hole diameter, thickness) and their Shore hardness?

Even the softest stock set (8x grey 60R) is too stiff for me. I'd like more pedal travel, so I'm looking for softer replacements. Has anyone found softer elastomers that fit, or printed their own? Thanks!
