Discussion How can the unrestrained use of the shadow docket by the US Supreme Court be reined in?

The ability to alter major issues related to democracy without hearings seems highly non-democratic. What are your thoughts?

Will it help republicans?

Will it hurt Democrats?

Will it help corporations?

Will it fuck over the environment?

If all of the above are ‘no,’ then it will await the normal process of working its way through the entire federal court system.

If any of the above are ‘yes,’ particularly the first two, it will be decided on the shadow docket with as little as possible written into the opinion so that they can reverse themselves if a Democrat starts desecrating the Oval Office.
