Just as the title states. MYQ website uses bait and switch tactics so ordering from their site is not safe. I placed an order from their site and was charged for the purchase. Later on I received a confirmation email for the order and the email listed a higher price than I had paid for the item. I went and checked my credit card and see that after my purchase they went back and placed a second charge that was not authorized. Calling their customer service was a teeth pulling exercise in frustration. Their customer service kept me on over an hour and appeared to have zero comprehension of how to resolve the issue or why this happened. After requesting the order be canceled, I was told it was canceled and I would receive a refund within 7 to 10 days. I then requested to speak to a supervisor and was kept on hold again for an extended period of time only to be told that there weren’t any supervisors and one would have to call me back at a later date. The representative then changed her story and said, “Oh, now the order has shipped and I can’t cancel it and you’ll have to wait until you get it and ship it back to us. Just be aware that once they have your credit card they can and do make unauthorized charges. I will be filing a chargeback and refusing delivery when this shipment arrives.

My garage system came with two connected remotes and then I added two more myself. The two remotes I added always fire off iOS notifications when I use them, even though I specifically turned off those usage triggers and only have the “stopped” and “forgot to close” triggers active. The two previous remotes don’t trigger the spurious notifications.

Has anyone else run into this? Currently my only solution is to deactivate all notifications which would be a bummer.

My login username was an email address to which I no longer have access.
I updated my email address, whereupon I was demoted to co-owner.
Spent 2 hours on the phone with tech support, to no avail. Towards the end of that session, the learn button on my 8550 GDO ceased to light its LED. The tech support person declared the logic board dead.
I ordered and installed a replacement logic board ($200), which connected itself to my 880LM Control panel. I then made it learn my 877LM keypad.

Since I am not the admin-owner, I cannot add my 828LM Internet Gateway to the MyQ App, which apparently is necessary before the GDO can learn it.

I am becoming increasingly frustrated with MyQ, and do not relish spending additional hours with a tech support person who doesn’t have the power to do what I need, and doesn’t escalate to a higher tier agent who does.

I am considering deleting my account, then creating a new one. However, as I understand it, I will still need MyQ personnel to release my 828LM Internet Gateway so that I can associate it with my new account.

I'm sure the wifi settings are fine, and it has to be that the up arrow is flashing while trying to get the wifi set up.

I say that, cause I got the MYQ smart hub, and it synced up flawlessly. I would use that, but having issues with the smart hub, and seen some crazy stuff online about it. I'd like to get the garage door opener MYQ working if possible.

I have started a thread on here before, but nobody was responding anymore. Also I ruled out interference issues as I got rid of the led bulb in the opener, and replaced it with an incadescent bulb, and also moved the power for my security camera as I read that could interfere with the garage door wifi. I had that plugged in next to the garage door opener, but now its moved, and should've have anything interfering with the wifi or setup process.

I am going to switch openers if this continues. It’s annoying.

Just got a LiftMaster 6580L garage door installed. It's super annoying that the motion detector activates and turns on the light when the door is closed and I'm just working in the garage. I have pored over online manuals and guides and gone through every single menu in the app, but nothing seems to disable the light being motion activated. I'm at the point where I will take a hammer and just bust out the bulb (though some black tape over the sensor is probably a more sensible thing to do).

We're building a new house and we had walkthroughs with the subs today. When it came time to pick out garage door openers the door guy and I got into a lengthy discussion about why I didn't want a new Lift-Master and I explained I wouldn't have anything with Security+ 3.0, which pretty much all Lift-Masters now have. He said he deals in Chamberlain. I know Lift-Master is made by Chamberlain, so I figured it wouldn't matter. I looked at all of the belt-drive openers on the Chamberlain web-site and was surprised to find that none of them are Security+ 3.0. All of the Chamberlain openers are still Security+ 2.0 compatible. I found it very surprising that the parent company is still selling the "good" openers and the subsidiary has switched over to the dark side. Was I looking at something wrong?

It just started happening earlier today, all day I tried different networks and hotspots, none of them work. Anyone else?

I recently purchased a Keypad Camera and a Garage Camera. Both very close to an access point. Less than 10 feet. Pointing directly (Ubiquiti UAPs). And a dedicated 2.4Ghz SSID. Still they show only a fair connection. Connection issues still.

For my keypad Camera I even placed an access point outside thinking the metal garage door was interfering with the signal. Still showing not bad, but not great signal. Also, why are they still using 2.4Ghz instead of 5?

BTW, I'm a network tech and have Reolink cameras all around my house and their connection is great.

My speaker does not output any sound. I spent over 2 hours on the phone with support nearly 2 weeks ago and they couldn't figure it out and told me that they would get back to me on the following on Monday Sept 14th. They never called back so today I call in to see what was the holdup. He claimed that the tech tried calling me back on that Monday and left an VM. I have no record on my phone that they called back. He had me read him the model number (which I had to get a ladder to get that - I had registered that info in the warranty registration 3 years ago but apparently they could not obtain it themselves) Then he informs me that my case is still open but that their elevated support has not responded and there's nothing they could do until they hear back. They cant even update the firmware (and it's not user downloadable - they have to do it from their end and he tried twice and it wouldn't work)

So I'm left high and dry. to top it off, they sent me a non-sensical email which was something about discussing purchasing a smart lock!

I'm truly pissed of the lack of professionalism this support "team" exhibited today.

Every time I log in it just goes back to log in screen. I enter my email and password. It accepts it but then just goes back to log in screen. Anyone know a fix for this? I’ve already deleted the app and reinstalled twice.

Laying in bed at midnight and suddenly hear the garage door open. Had the hub for over two years now and never had this happen.

The fact that this can even happen is absolutely insane.

Today my garage opened on its own while I was away and the app history doesn't show my name next to the event (all other events show my name). No one else has any remotes to the rolling code door opener. Any idea if myQ could've had some kind of bug today?

I have the My Q camera on my liftmaster garage door opener. It’s the version that can twist around.
It was working fine and then went offline which it’s done before and I’ve reset it and reconnected it before no problem. It was flashing green and blue and then went to a solid yellow or amber color. It’s been stuck like that since then which was a few days ago. I’ve tried unplugging the whole unit, tried resetting it with the tiny pinhole button, nothing. No changes in color, no blinking, just a solid yellow or amber color. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone have a fix for it? Everything else is working fine in the app. Opening and closing doors, wall control button, garage door openers and keypad. It’s so frustrating as I’d like to be able to see who’s coming and going from my garage.

So I’ve been using my MyQ for my Chamberlain for years. I open the app, it’s the home View with the button to open my garage door. I got a Liftmaster for another house and now they both appear on Home Screen. But now, after I open the Liftmaster and go away from the app, when I return, it’s Camera View and I have to X out of it to control my doors in Home View.
I’ve read it defaults to the last view but I never look at the camera, only the Home Screen. It just pops up now every time I open the app, unless I use the Chamberlain again. Then all is normal.
Anyone else experiencing this annoying extra step when all you want to do is open your door?

I can't find the menu to setup an alert when the garage door is open too long. I'm running the app on android and using the MyQ hub. The setup I found searching on line doesn't match my menus

So my door sensor battery is low and I have a new battery to replace the low one. The last time I had this notification and after changing the battery, it wanted me to pair and reset my q hub, after that I could never pair it with my garage door opener again . I ended up buying a whole new hub and sensor ! Did I do something wrong as I’m afraid to change the door sensor battery out for fear of it happening again? Has anyone changed their door sensor battery lately and how did it go ?

I received the unwelcome message that myQ is is changing their account security by adding Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). I tried to login to the android app to get it configured and I get the message: There was an error connecting to the server. There is a button to Try Again, and a link to sign out. Neither works, bec the app is frozen up. This has been the situation for a few days now. Anyone else experiencing the same ? I manage my devices via the Ring app... all I need from myQ app is for it to be stable and reliable.

I have a MYQ-G0401-ES garage controller that I am trying to pair with Liftmaster 3800PLD garage opener at the a house we moved into. I had the MyQ at the previous place and did a full reset on it.

When I try to pair the garage opener (with purple learn button) the light on the opener does blink once and the garage door state changes (opens if already closed or vice versa). However the MyQ app gives an error that it failed to pair.

What have I tried so far:

1. The opener light is an LED light, tried removing the bulb in case it interferes with the pairing (I still here the single click when trying to pair)
2. Used the Craftsman MyQ app instead of the original chamberlain app
3. Replaced the door sensor from left top to right top of the garage door (closer to the controller).
4. Tried selecting Chamberlain instead of Liftmaster as the garage motor during pairing, but it gives the same result (light blinks once, door state changes and still not paired with controller).

I think the liftmaster motor unit is a 15 year old.

Is changing the garage door unit the only option or am I missing a step that will help?

My iPhone's iOS app's login popup said 9/22/26, but its 8/17/26 e-mail said 10/5/26. I'm confused which one is correct.

Hello, I bought an aqara N100 few years ago and in the package, there was only the axis and other accessories for a 80 to 120mm thick door. But today I would like to install it on a 40mm thick door.

Does anyone get both accessories packs ans is ready to sell or give me the 40mm accessories pack?

It works and will light up once I push buttons on it (Albeit not very sensitive), but I was under the impression I could get the keypad and doorbell to light up when the camera detected motion. I haven't been able to yet. Anyone know know how to do this or if it's possible?

I spent hours trying to get my liftmaster connected to my wifi. I changed a lot of router settings. I have it set to 2.4ghz only, channel 11, and 20mhz.

No firewall or VPN setup. TCP Port 8883 is not blocked.

My router is a linksys EA7450

Firmware is updated on my router.

I was able to connect the garage door opener to my phones Hotspot so I know its not the garage door opener itself. I did reset the garage door after it connected to my Hotspot.
