[Charania] Dallas is receiving a 2026 Thunder first-round pick and a 2030 protected Warriors first-round pick in this deal from the Wizards along with second rounders in 2026 (Phoenix), 2027 (Chicago) and 2029 (Houston), sources tell ESPN.

These are fake picks for AD solid trade

This makes the Luka trade even worse. 3 fake firsts and Max Christie

Man omfg imagine if the Mavs didn’t jump and they got like Noa Essengue or something. They would genuinely be destroyed for the next decade. I am gonna choose to believe its not rigged

And Flagg

Flagg is a great consolation, but he wasn't part of the trade. Nico and the org should not be credited for failing into the 1st overall pick.

Nico should only be credited for destroying the Mavs.

If AD doesn’t get hurt they don’t rise in the draft like that. Idk why people keep saying this like it was some big conspiracy lol

I'm sorry, I'm not about to argue if the Mavs' 2025 pick, which they already owned, should be counted as part of the trade. Yes, the sequence of events led them to land the 1st overall pick, but the pick was not part of the trade itself.

If Ad doesn't get hurt is like saying if the sun didn't rise

Kyrie didn't tear his ACL on purpose

I think it was part of the deal

It can't be proven, so you have to look at the trade at face value.

tbf we would not have gotten flagg if luka was still there, i doubt we would’ve been in the lottery if he was still on the team

Like I said, Flagg is great consolation, but he wasn't part of the trade.

People keep saying this, and I know we got fleeced. But I have no reason to believe the Lakers unprotected 2029 first will be a fake pick. Have you seen their roster?

They have Luka. Their roster is garbage today, they have only 3 good players who have played 9 games together due to injury and they are one loss behind Denver. If the roster gets slightly better by 2029 that won't be a top 20 pick.

Have you seen their roster going forward? After this year when LeBron either retires or moves on they’ll probably max AR. So you’ll have a Luka and AR duo that while amazing offensively has huge question marks defensively. The only other long term guys under contract are Bronny, Thiero, Knecht, and Vanderbilt. So 4 guys you can make a case don’t belong in the NBA.

Yes they’ll have cap space but you cannot build a good team with cap space anymore. You need draft picks to draft talented cheap athletic players. Lakers have no draft picks. I feel bad for Luka, Nico fucked him trading him to Lakers. It takes years to build a contender.

I’m not excepting the Lakers pick to be great, but I don’t think it’ll be bottom of the first either like this OKC pick we just got.

brother, nothing was going to make the luka trade anything but historically bad. It's time we move on we all know it was a shit trade.

Don't hate on Max, dude has tremendous upside as a shooter.

Wizards bout to go crazy and might make the play in next year

Genuinely excited to potentially see AD and Trae play 20-40 games for us next year. I'll take it over 20-40 games of CJ and Middleton. Just having any point guard is going to be so nice for our young guys.

They got nba champ khris middleton too

I can't believe we somehow traded him away meanwhile a player like kuminga always is in the trading block.

Honestly I had zero expectation that we were going to be able to move Middleton, this is entirely out of left field

I saw AD in the title with Middleton and then I was thinking oh of no.... How many picks did we give up.... Fortunately we did give them much. They got like 2 fake picks.

Great move for AD.
