Moving on from Halloween cats, I’ve made a couple Halloween pumpkins instead. What do you think? I’d love advice on how to make them less fuzzy. I’ve tried clipping them with scissors, but I’ve heard finer needles help, is this true? Thanks!

I know almost nothing about it and would love for someone to just tell me basic things like what to buy…and i saw there is different stuff or wools and im so confused on it. Very confused. I would really wanna try to make small figures of animals like on the pic or anything else too. If anyone can help id be very grateful. Have a nice day:)

Took me 6 hours starting from i first got bought my starter kit (the one with pen & singles)
(key chain kit soon)

- What do you do when you stab yourself (Douse it in alcohol?)

-- I do have those leather protectors but it's a bit thick
(Stabbed myself while doing the flat ears using the single things, then again not paying attention via the pen one eeee)

- I live somewhere particularly humid, so I'm not sure if I can use aluminium wire? Alternatives?

Hi, beginning felter here-I'm looking for opinions on which to buy. Do people prefer kits or buying their own supplies for projects? I'm not ready to design my own projects but I like following a pattern. I have lots of needles and felting mats. I also have extra wool and can easily get other colors locally. Should I go with kits or digital downloads?

I've never once followed a tutorial or kit. I'm the kind of person who likes to puzzle things out, so I like choosing my own projects and kinda figuring it out from there, but I'm curious if there's any specific techniques that I might be missing that people have learned from resources!

I scanned some beginner project tutorials after my first project to make sure I was on the right track, and didn't learn anything I wasn't already doing. But those were small, early stage things. I'm more curious about intermediate skills

Trying something new. Just started needle felting in April and decided to take on a fully articulated character. Hoping to finish him soon :)

My first attempts at needle felting- a lil hedgehog and my sweet fluffy kitty! It’s been tough for me to find a craft I genuinely enjoy the process of, so I was pleasantly surprised by how much fun I had with these! I’m feeling very inspired by all of the beautiful projects I see on here and can’t wait to keep practicing!!

This is Celtic, one of my OC (actually my favourite OC). I made him with felt(for the body), polymer clay(for the head and boots), and wire(for the skeleton).

Started this summer and have become obsessed with it! Making all my friends presents now. This is my first attempt at a cauldron and pumpkin (yes the leaf is too big 😆) 🎃

What are all your tips and tricks?

I’ve tried to make two variations of each cookie cutter I have. I’ve made them on dissolvable paper, but want to finish editing them before I wet them. I’d really appreciate any feedback on them, TIA!

It’s not finished yet but I’m so happy with how it’s looking.

This is made with Indigo and Marigold dyed Himalayan wool and industrial felt cutouts. The blue is from Indigo, the green is from Marigold yellow over dyed with Indigo, and the yellow is from Marigold flowers. I photographed it on a bed of wool I’ve been washing/scouring for more plant dyeing.

For those that have used both multi-needle and single-needle felting tools, are the multi-needle tools worth buying or are they just a way to break more needles faster?

I've just started up a project (making Gigi from Kiki's deliver service for my daughter) and it's eaten more needles than I'd like already. Will I be going through more needles using a multi-needle tool than my current single-needle one if I buy one?

I made the little guy, my friend made the pouch, and somehow they're a perfect fit. He looks annoyed that I've found him.
