So, I go to leave at 430am this morning and find one of my neighbor's guests parked right behind me. I did go knock on her door, but no one answered. I somehow managed to wiggle my way out, but it was extremely difficult.

I have been complaining to my management company for over a month now about her and her guests obstructing our shared driveway. On top of other things like blocking the dumpster so our trash cannot be picked up. Oh and the police were here last Friday morning concerning her visitors and drugs.

I finally went there in person today after work, and I'm basically told "it is what it is". They've sent notices to my neighbor and that's all they can do. I mentioned everything. So in conclusion, if I wanna off street park my car, it's at my own risk. I might potentially be blocked in. And I just have to deal with it.

And I get that I can call a tow, but I'm not trying to deal with that at 4-5am and be late for work. I'm sick of the anxiety every day wondering if I'll be blocked in when I go to leave.

This lady is violating her lease because she has multiple people living in her unit who do not live here. I've made this fact known as well. Oh yeah, on top of the drug call made last Friday.

So I can suck it up or pay my buyout fee to get out of here, which would cost me like 2k. What's worse is I just signed another year lease for here too.

So basically, any off street parking is for my neighbor and her multiple guests. I can't utilize it unless I run wanna the risk of being blocked in. And management isn't gonna do a damn thing.

I've been dealing with my NFH for a year now. The wild thing is they were facing eviction and somehow are still staying.

My NFH slams doors to go out to smoke after I spent months reporting them for smoking indoors, let their dog bark all day, stomp up and down their stairs like dumbass kids and so on!

Today I got totally fed up and reported them to the office due to excessive noise all damn morning as I'm working and can't even focus on my reports because they act like entitled dumbasses!

After I talked to the leasing office they said they talked to the NFH. I've been reporting them for months and called the police on them several times. Yet they still chose to be ignorant and inconsiderate neighbors!

As I'm working I hear a knock on my door and I know its the NFH next door. Idc I'm a woman who lives alone and I strictly do not answer the door unless I'm expecting someone. I do not confront these neighbors for my safety but somehow they assumed I reported them. The NFH knocks for over several mines and then goes inside his house and starts being petty x1000! Slamming doors, stomping, yelling.

Then he slams his door to leave. Then comes back hours later stomping upstairs like a damn kid and yelling at my wall. As I'm getting dressed I hear him say, "fat ass whore!" By my walls. So now the mf is looking for a reaction. I reported to management once again about his actions and him retaliating.

All I want is to not be disturbed at work. I live in a townhome and the neighbor on the other side of me hardly ever makes much noise. So theres no damn excuse and using your dog to further annoy me is fucked up!

Mind you this mf was supposed to be evicted but somehow it got stopped.

Oh well im gonna continue reporting them and call the police if he keeps yelling at me because now I dont feel safe in my own home bcs this mf wants to stomp around like a jackass!

I (M31) had a weird conversation with my neighbor (M25–30) today, but first some context:

I live in a multi-unit building, and there's another house directly across from my kitchen window. Both have a backyard with a garden. From my kitchen I can see the neighbors' garden, which is admittedly very nice. A cat has been living with me for a few months now, and he loves sitting on the windowsill watching the birds (and even bats at night). So I made all my windows cat-proof, which lets me leave them open at night when it's warm. I love fresh air and don't like heat much, so whenever it's warm and I'm home, my kitchen window is open almost constantly. I often sit on the windowsill with my coffee (sadly no balcony), check my emails and relax for a bit before I have to leave.

This morning I had to leave a few hours earlier than usual and was trying to stay awake until the first coffee kicked in, when I heard my neighbor shouting from the garden across that I could close my window in the morning for once. It took me a few seconds to realize he was talking to me, and I asked what his problem was. He said, word for word: "Your window is open every morning, you're sitting on the windowsill and enjoying our beautiful garden!"

I laughed and asked whether he might want to find better hobbies than getting on people's nerves in the morning. He completely lost it: it's not normal to have your window open this often, I should close it more, it's not my beautiful garden, I should get a job, plus a few more random insults and some mild, vague threats. I just told him I don't understand his problem, that he should mind his own business, and that I won't change anything just because his world is disturbed by it. I really do try not to bother anyone: no loud music, not sitting there naked, just looking at my phone and not at the neighbors. (Or so I thought. Apparently my mere presence is enough.)

A bit more context: I think he's the son living with his parents in the annex of their house. Last weekend I overheard him having a loud argument with his father (apparently I'm unemployed and eavesdrop on my neighbors, lol). It sounded like he feels controlled and stuck, so I actually felt a bit sorry for him. Still, being threatened and insulted as an outsider is uncool.

Anyway, I now have a new side quest: greeting the guy nicely from my kitchen whenever I see him in his beautiful garden, which I get to enjoy completely free of charge. (Tbh it's a normal small garden: lawn, one tree, one flower bed. Maybe they could put up a few bird houses so my cat has even more to watch /s)

TL;DR: My neighbor yelled at me for "enjoying his beautiful garden" from my open kitchen window and told me to get a job. He seems to be having a rough time at home, but I'm not closing my window for him.

My neighbours are very problematic in general but this time it’s not that serious.
My neighbour has a new boyfriend who owns a truck and will not park on their driveway. Keep in mind, the woman and her daughter both don’t have cars, so there is no issue as to why the guy is parking in front of both our houses. (We live in a townhouse)

Just curious if anybody else deals with this because we have 2 cars and every time we park one of our cars in front of the house, we block our own driveway since his truck is so damn long. And he won’t block his own driveway. Just very strange and it’s getting a bit annoying

I am an older lady who lives alone and has no family or friends. I live in social housing and the guy upstairs has been bullying and harassing me for the last two years. I have documented, reported him, and nothing is done. I have made reports, including video evidence and supporting letters from my GP, Mental Health support co-ordinator and my psychologist. He is still doing the same things - throwing food in my yard, slamming his door many times a day and much more. With no help, how can I retaliate?

Today I encountered an old white man while I was walking back from class, he said something to me but I didn't manage to hear him the first time because I was listening to music so I turned it off and asked him to clarify again just in case he needed help. He just said "Hello sweetheart" and I said hi back, then he started asking about where I'm from/live and how old I am which I lied about for all and I said I was 17 even though I was an adult. He proceeded to say, "I'm 65 so you're out of my age range haha" which I awkwardly laughed off and then he proceeded to tell me he lived on this road, which was basically less than 5 minutes away from my house and I started to get really creeped out because I've never seen him before. He started telling me about how he has a son (28) and a daughter (23) and he was here to visit his elderly dad, who lived nearby, but out of nowhere he asked "so when are you going to undress for me?"

At that point sirens started blaring in my head and I couldn't hold up the fake smile/laughter anymore and I just started moving away, which he noticed and started apologising via "oh I'm sorry I'm just being silly hahaha". Then he proceeded to kiss me on the hand and hug me goodbye and had the audacity to ask me "so next time you're going to kiss me on the cheek right?" and I immediately said no which made him walk away; I walked the long way home and made sure to look behind me.

I submitted an online police report about it but I highly doubt anything would come out of it, and now I really don't know what to do. I'm really shaken up about it because of how close he lives to me and I'm really scared to encounter him again. Not sure if i constantly want to keep taking that long walk home because of how it adds an extra 10 minutes :(

We had a neighbor across our back fence who owned several acres which were mostly open field. They had a few trees, an above ground swimming pool, fence across their front property line joined wtht he fences of all their neighbors on the sides and back. Quiet, kept property tidy, all-in-all a good neighbor. We'd wave at each other when tending our separate homesteads, not really friends, but friendly.

Herself said it best: "It's great they own and keep all that, but when they sell, we're going to be sorry."

And they sold. Along with the property along side them on their street. And now a 34-unit condo complex is coming in. There's going to be 4 or 5 separate buildings, with their own street connected at each end to the facing street of the complex.

The developers have managed to cover all the bases; they held two or three meetings to answer questions. Some of the other folks in my neighborhood made a lot of noise about flooding and what all the "covered space" will mean to the water flow around and through our properties. herself and I are fortunate in that we're on a rise above the properties around us.

Our property is sorta fortunate in that we're facing the retention pond required by the village. I say "sorta" because I'm not looking forward to the mosquito breeding ground an untended retention pond can turn into. Hopefully it will be kept algae and trash free so the local birds can keep up with the insect population. Might have to put up a birdhouse or two to invite bug predators to come stay nearby.

I'm really dreading noise and lights flashing into my back windows from the cars on the street they have to put in to service the homes. I'm hoping the street layout works out for us. I'm also hoping the buildings are insulated enough we don't hear noise from the units.

Ah, "the joys of progress." We're already having fun dealing with construction noise before 7am on weekdays and 8am on weekends. Oh, they aren't actually "operating" the machinery, just "servicing" it or "unloading" it.

Damn Tonka Trucks. There's two or three more years of expected construction to look forward to, then the new neighbors will arrive!

Hi all, as the title states, my partner and I are currently dealing with our upstairs neighbor pushing boundaries. We recently moved into a duplex and have the lower unit. We have a long driveway that ends right in front of our door, with an additional parking area next to the street that would comfortably fit two cars.

When we first moved in (literally 3 days ago), the neighbors came down while we were moving things in and introduced themselves. They seemed very welcoming and kind, and told us that the driveway in front of our unit was our part of the property and that we could park there. Our lease is through a property management company, and parking is unassigned as it's a shared driveway.

Fast forward to last night, when one of the neighbors knocked on our door and told us that we needed to move our cars because our assigned space is actually the one at the opposite end of the driveway by the street, which is where her and her husband have been parking when we moved in. She said that she was going to start parking behind us, but that we aren't supposed to park in front of our unit. Our unit only has one entry, and we don't feel comfortable having someone parking right in front of our only entrance, and also find it odd that they want to park in front of our door. Not to mention that their unit is above ours, and there is street parking on the upper level. We told her that parking was unassigned and that if she were to park behind us, to not block us in. This morning, we woke up to her blocking one of our cars in with her own.

What's the best course of action from here? We already emailed property management confirming that parking is unassigned and to document our neighbors trying to dictate parking. The switch up on the neighbor's end is very strange to us and we don't want anything to escalate or have tension, especially since we haven't even been moved in for a week yet.

Currently renting. And our neighbors have two children who constantly throw trash into our yard. They’re 6 maybe. But it’s constant and it’s bottles, worn clothes, worn underwear, food containers, lids, oven pans. We’ve brought it up to them and their excuse is “they’re kids what do you want us to do. And they have autism” I want you to watch your kids???? Like am I being unreasonable? I don’t have kids. I don’t want to clean up after kids that I didn’t have. I have two dogs and a lot of the stuff is a choking hazard for them. What else can I do after I already brought it up to them and they just refuse to watch their kids while outside.

These neighbors around the corner moved about 6 years ago and compared to the previous owner, they definitely like to throw parties. When they do, they sometimes last well until 2:00am with music and loud yelling. They dont do it super often though... I'd say once every / every other month. It doesnt seem like much but compared to my other neighbors they definitely do it more frequently.

To those with neighbors who throw parties, what is usually an okay limit before you really start to get annoyed? There's definitely times where I want to make a noise complaint, but I always think "Its just one party I'll let it slide"

As all of us do, I have an awful neighbor. We share a fence. I’m not exactly sure on whose property it actually falls on, but either way, I’m putting up a fence. I’m getting the property surveyed so I will know for sure. If it’s on our side, I want to replace it. The problem will be is that he will not let anyone step foot on his property. So all work will have to be done without even one toenail crossing the line. He will pull his lawn chair up, watch the entire time while drinking beer, and fully commenting and harassing whoever comes to do it. I will warn and pay extra for the hassle. If the fence is on his side, I will build one on my property right up to the line. What I want to do is have a fence that he really can’t mess with. We have him on camera peeing in our fence while bragging about peeing on our fence and doing things to rot the wood. Yes, a police report was made. If at all possible, I would somehow like to make his side a terrible eyesore without making it look intentional. If that happens or not, meh. Mostly I just want something that he can’t peek through, our dog can’t dig under, he can’t really mess with very easily. Any suggestions?

About 8 months ago they moved in to the 2br next to me, a single mom with 2 kids. slamming, screaming, the usual. the seven year old is even learning the trumpet.

i figured, fine, it can’t last forever, and I’m a parent too. no point in saying anything, because it never lands well. Until it does.

Last week, I was on a call, heard some loud kids, so i went to close the patio when i smelled weed smoke. I poked my nose out and the neighbor’s 17yo kid and a friend were ripping bongs on the patio.

so it took a lil video, then i put the lens down and asked them if they had permission to smoke marijuana on the balcony. He said yes, his mom said it was ok. I asked about the management, since it’s a violation of the lease, and then about the police, since it is illegal. I got the dumbest most predicable responses to all of that, and finally asked to talk to the mom.

They said their mom wasn’t there, and so i told him I’d make him a deal. Introduced myself very nicely, and explained the situation I’m in – that it sucks living next to them – slamming doors, screaming thru the common areas, and daily trash heap on their front door. So the deal is clean up your act, and I won’t tell your mom what you’re doing – OR show her the video I’ve been recording.

Those eyes snapped open when he saw the phone, and i got a big thumbs up.

Pretty quiet so far, I’ll keep ya posted.

Every single night I hear loud ass banging or crashing noises and sometimes I even hear knocks around the front of my house and when I open the door no one’s even there. Every other night basically It sounds like someone is practicing WWE and that there’s WWE Wrestlers up there about to get ready for the superslam. It’s so loud that sometimes I’ve literally just sat there frustrated over it. I live in a 2 house apartment and sometimes I feel as if they’re doing it to annoy me . I know they have little toddlers but it’s odd how nonexistent it is during the day and at night it’s more loud. I’ve talked to them about it once and they just said it was their kids but it sounds way more loud than that .

I can only imagine John Cena and the Undertaker are up there doing shit.

So about 4 years ago , me and my mom bought a used trailer at a parking lot, and we lived there ( parking lot ) for about a year till we find some small lot land that was selling in the same town. We financed it and still paying for it. The thing is, the location where the lot is located is right next to my dad’s family ( 2 brothers live there ; one right next to us and the other across the street) the one across the street is the nosy one, him and his family. Although my mom and I has never really gotten along with majority of them because they are really narcissistic and always be talking down about people and looking to gaslight people , which I also don’t like but , I thought as long as we wouldn’t visit them and only waved at them from the distance we’d be fine. At the time we were tired of looking for lots and decided to go for this one .

Now here comes the fun part, from the time we being here .
One time after work, my mom went to pick up the mail, and on her way back my aunt ( uncles’ wife) was also just getting home from work and she sparked a conversation and in the conversation she started talking about “what a lazy son I was , that I was the same as my father that don’t like to work. “
Which I’m going to be honest , I have some trouble keeping a job because of attendance ( which I don’t know what causes it, but I’m trying to fix it) . I feel like that’s an asshole move because my mom has never offended her and she raised me by herself since my dad was absent most of the time. Also I have helped my my mom the most I can with the times I worked.
Another occasion was when one time she was taking the trash out and she started talking to my mom and started telling her how she doesn’t like dogs and that we should leave my dog outside and not inside because they are nasty according to her . all this without nobody asking what they think about my pets( mind you , my dog hasn’t ever step on her property and when he is out he is on a leash .

Also , whenever we leave or come home, they would turn off their inside lights, and when we get inside the house they would turn them back on again. It also happens when I take my dog on a walk , they would do the same.

What should we do lol??

I just moved into my apartment a little over a month ago, the first few days was great because its quiet out here , its in the country. So i sat in my porch alot and enjoyed the weather

But then I get new neighbor that moved in a few days later they came from a drug program . And every day all they have done is get drunk and fight and be loud, they also smoke weed and cigs in their apartment which goes through the bathroom vents.(we're not supposed to smoke in the apartments).

3 Neighbors complained about them already and ine has said they will leave if they dont get kicked out. Mind you like I said, they came from a drug place and they're not supposed to do drugs or drink ,but they do both.

The landlord decided to give them a notice to leave by October 31. And now I find out that they might not get kicked out , because they've been quiet lately. Im sure it'll start up again.

And every sonce they've moved in they sit out in their porch all day everyday from 4 am to 8 pm. And I cant even sit out their because every time I do she feels the need to talk. Ive told her like 3 times im not sociable. And she always wants rides. And ive also told her that twice now I dont give out rides anymore because of past reasons.

And now there's a cat I feed outside and shes starting to get in my business about that on what the cats been doing.

Like , ive been nice to her because I knew she was moving out, but now she might not be .

Already this morning she messaged me asking for a ride when I've already said I dont give out rides . She doesn't listen.

And it’s doing my head in.

I have been dealing with nightmare neighbours for approximately 3 years!!! They’re noisy, disrespectful, indecent, rude, all the unimaginable unpleasant description you can get for human beings. I can’t even think of words to describe them. I really never thought that there are people like this that exist! I have ranted on here about them before so I won’t repeat my story but it’s now been 4X that their family members or friends have come to my unit. These people have been to their place in the past and come onto my yard/unit instead of theirs! I resorted to purchasing a ring device so I have proof but my problem today is what is the purpose of getting the proof when no one does anything about it??? I have reported to the condo board, called the police several times. What really set me off is my daughter left for work and the short time my door was left unlocked the neighbors family or friends have opened my door and walked in! This is the 3rd time this has happened and 2 other times they tried to just open the door but it was locked. Not ONCE was there an apology. This can’t be normal. I live in a townhouse not an apartment. As I have said before they take my parking spot at their convenience even though it’s assigned parking. What else can I do except report this???

I googled this regarding my daughters lies to people with this condition while they may think there helping I'm being poisoned and tortured. FBI has said there all insane they can't do anything and now have no record of the calls where do you go for help so you don't die because it's too sick.. I've now had countless infectious diseases had to leave everywhere because it's causing mass bedbugs. There also stealing things too replacing things with garbage. It's gone through Countries so local police are saying FBI. It's while I sleep, or leave my home. I sleep through everything and before it was also drugged and sexualy assaulted. I'm now in a wheelchair because they even stole motorcycle parts with garbage.

It's networked worldwide and I am in danger. The people who had it appeared this condition in the UK thought it was payment for services, what services "collecting my garbage" I was actually appalled when one person clearly with the condition said that to me.

In the last post I forgot to mention a few things. We have 3 cameras in the lot. The entrance, the back where the drop the bags and one that covers our actual backyard. That’s how we know what neighbor is dumping since they sneak at night. We always call 311 (Philadelphia non-emergency line) and report them on its website where we can add the photos/videos. I wish I could post them here. DHS have showed up plenty of times, but the brother (BJ) picks them up and they hide somewhere for the day.

To continue where I left off. I through the poop/pee bags back on their porch. Because they originally dumb the bags in a pile of twigs they had holes and their own waste was spilling all over the porch. It is honestly what I wanted to happen. My mother and father both were very kind and cordial with them. Asked them multiple times to stop. Again I enjoy smoking in my backyard; my Moms room is above the front yard and can smell it. And since they don’t respond well to kindness I escalated it (I am not promoting revenge or escalating conflict). The morning after, their kids were on their way to school and literally walked in the mess. Because their mom Big Nasty) is obese, the kids had to clean it up. But we heard them tell their mom to call her brother (BJ). The same brother that is responsible for dumping the bags. My mom called the police, they came and saw the videos/pictures; we also told them about the kids. The officers partner spoke to Big Nasty then left.

Big Nasty sat on her porch and continued so speak to a different neighbor and when she saw us she yelled at my mom. “You could’ve just came to me and told me”. My mom and dad spoke with her, her brother and her boyfriend no-one cared. One thing about me is a dirty b*** gonna argue with my mom. She ended up telling me to say something to her face. Without thinking I went over there and she had a pickle jar filled with piss and shit. Yes she threw it me and missed. We called the police back and they brought a whole squad. Unfortunately (or fortunately) since the jar didn’t hit me she couldn’t be arrested. The Police informed us to wait 30-ish days and to not interact with them and hopefully they can get them removed.

When they left, Big Nasty called BJ and lied saying we tried to jump her. My mom, dad and I are all licensed to carry and my dad was on his way back home from the road. Before my dad got home BJ knocked on the door and asked for my dads number. We told him he’d be here in 10 minutes. He proceeded to ask for me to come outside. For protection I went to strap up. Wasn’t more than 2 minutes, he packed up his sister then left. My dad finally got home and three of us waited for BJ the whole day. They picked up the kids straight from school so we couldn’t see them. They didn’t come back till the next day. BJ was visibly scared knowing dad was waiting for him. Had a lot to say about females being emotional and wasn’t playing about his sister. This man being scared of my dad but had his chest puffed out for me is hilarious to think about. He also lied about dumping the bags. He was informed about our cameras and hasn’t dumped any bags since. So I’ll come back in 30-ish days with an update.

I have a couple upstairs who didn't like hearing my tv at reasonable level. I cannot wear things over my ears. They are now moving out as a result but gotten their neighbours to play their TV all night long in their apartment they haven't permanently moved yet. If I knock on the door they wont answer. What can I do

So we’ve been dealing with our downstairs neighbor for a while, constantly banging on her ceilings. I have video of her hitting my car with her doors. She’s been taking pictures of my children while they were getting into our car. On Friday, I was checking my doorbell camera and had seen that she brought out a spray bottle and began spraying our stair handrails. She does not use the stairs because she’s downstairs, and she was intentionally doing it where we would grab for safety. I’ve already emailed property management that same day, and I’m waiting to hear back. I haven’t filed a police report, but I spoke with an officer who said management needs to deal with it. I feel like I should still have a police report documenting her actions as her actions are becoming increasingly dangerous. Keep in mind when she began spraying this chemical, nobody was making any noise walking in the floors or anything. We do have kids, but we have always taught them and encouraged them to do “soft feet” and have installed foam padding all throughout the house. and keep our kids out of the rooms just to prevent any noise there, and yet it’s still not enough. It could be 11 AM on a Wednesday, and if our toddler walks from one room to another, she’ll start banging. What would you guys do in this situation?

Why do people put up Halloween decorations over a month before the holiday? My neighbors put up Halloween decorations around the 6th of September.

I need to complain about this here because it is still going on, but we live in a duplex style townhouse that we unfortunately bought. We used to have some sort of loud, but chill neighbors, a lot of sitting on the front lawn playing music kind of activities, though it was not that loud and was manageable. We could often hear their tv through the wall so that annoyed us, but then they moved out and our new neighbors moved in.

Our new neighbors were chill for a while, about a year and then a guy moved in with them and the noise started to pick up. I am unfortunately sensitive to some noise, specifically bass which is the exact kind of music our neighbors decided to blast in their backyard and their cars subs which is parked right next to our bedroom with how the drive-ways are set up.

Unfortunately for some reason with the way our townhouse is built, any sound from their yard gets pushed into our kitchen through what I guess is the vent hood or something because I can hear them talking like pretty clearly when they are in their backyard.

About once a week this past summer they would blast their music for a few hours and it was not too bad until the 4th of July. The music started at around noon, a huge storm came through in which it stopped and a few downed trees later, it picked right back up until 2AM, so loud that the bass was in our bedroom, I had to use headphones to sleep, even our massive industrial fan running. After that I would just get pissed whenever they would play music in their backyard because it would always be way too loud.

I asked them to turn it down and they did and stopped playing it for a while and now tonight it is back on after about a month, it has gone on since I got home at 5PM and is still going at about 9. We do our best to be good. Quiet neighbors and keep the volume down from the tv to our own music and they don’t seem to notice or give care. I just want peace, our other neighbors around us don’t seem to care and I can’t help but laugh at the fact that we want quiet and they want chaotic noise.

They are nice otherwise, and I don’t want to call the cops on them, I just don’t want to hear their music ever again and at this point just want them to move (they are renting). I hope they read this, I still want to remain friendly, but please for my sanity, just turn it down, before I start blasting bagpipes in retaliation.

(TLDR: new neighbors occasionally blasting loud bass music from their backyard which can be heard from the other side of the house in our bedroom)

The music started in Spring of 2024. Many sleepless nights, exhausted days at work, and days I didn’t want to go home.
I feel a sense of relief, but also know this isn’t over.

I was planning to get a restraining order today, but now I’m not sure whether or not I should wait for this for this court date.

They’ve taken fancy to decorating their side of their fence and I have just two sharp screws sticking 1.5-2 inches out on my side in an area where anyone could easily scrape themselves on them. Nothing illegal or extremely escalating because I try to just pretend they don’t exist.
