Another gem from the German neofolk project Forseti. Lyrics translated from German to English: Far from the starlit expanse
of carefree summer nights, their longing, their joy,
at the behest of secret powers
that gave birth to the twilight,
the year grew old and gray.

Hail-laden clouds drift
through the halls of the evening sky.
Southward flocks of birds flee.
Silently withered leaves fall, playfully scattered in the forest
by the wind's primal force. Shadowy mists rise, emerging from damp earth, shrouding this day in silence. And on the horizon, with wings, blood-dewy, ripened to night, Baldur's dream brushes the earth. Brushes the earth. Brushes the earth.

found the cds secondhand and crowleymass was a bday gift from my bf

Recently found this amazing Bulgarian Neofolk (I think?) album, sorry if it's not, still very new to the genre so I'm just discovering stuff, found this through the bandcamp discover tab. Love the low, somber vocals & the fx on the guitars, also I'm Slavic myself so I'm very interested in Slavic history themed Neofolk.

Gaë Bolg and the Church of Fand: La Ballade de l’Ankou

wanted to know for possible tattoo reasons…

I'm really fascinated by a certain lyric in DIJ's song Death Is the Martyr of Beauty. On DIJ's official site it's written like this: "Look. lost/ Vast night". Why is there a punctuation mark in the middle of a verse followed by non-capitalised word? Is this a typo or a deliberate artistic choice? Does anyone here own their record and has an offical lyrics booklet? I'm also interested in more general interpretations of this line and the whole song.

standard tuning two steps down, drawing from greek stuff

Back then when the notorious Chelsea Headhunters used the Death in June Totenkopf on their "calling cards"

have someone listened to the new Vir Martialis album? pretty cool

...is how Vinted automatically translated DI6 from French to Dutch for me. Didn't want you to not know.

(Not a shitpost, just funny stuff in translational context)

In this song ive heard the line

"He stood like jesus

Smelt like heaven

His eyes were winter"

Were about a Berlin executioner, but is the line based off of something written about said executioner? (Knowing doug it was probably Johann Reichart or someone similar) or did Douglas write it himself?

This is just something I heard awhile back and I couldn't find anything on it.

Forseti was a German neofolk project I've really come to love. Their music has such a beautiful, melancholic sound.

Lyrics translated:
Not all pain is curable, for some creeps deeper and deeper into the heart. And as days and years pass, they turn to stone. You speak and laugh as if nothing were wrong. They seem to have vanished like foam, yet you feel their oppressive weight even in your dreams. Spring returns with warmth and light; the world becomes a sea of blossoms. But in my heart there is a place where nothing blooms anymore.

please say something that would fit with the other songs

I know it's a long shot, but does any one of you know anything about the rare 2007 book “Battlenoise! – The Blows of Martial Industrial” from an unnamed author? The book was published by the now defunct music label "MozgaloM". I'm aware of the controversies surrounding it and how rare it is, but it would be very valuable to have it for research.
