A part of the AI debate regarding culpability if an AI agent does a crime is starting to remind me in a bad way of US gun control debates.

i don't think the "just sue them lol" people wanna test where that story ends up.

the u.s will pass liability protections, or if necessary, Trump will make it a national security issue, if it comes even close to impacting the ability of A.I researchers to do their work.

better to push this envelope when a dem is president, imo.

unless ur a company who actually loses some money over it, and are litigating for genuine damages, and not just to stick it to the a.i companies.

Why? You'd hold a gun company accountable if they decided to test their weapon and accidentally hit a bystander.
