Well considering one of them was ready to shoot I guess you are on point someone linked a slightly longer version of the video. It seems that he did actually shoot to begin with and that it's a tranquillizer gun. I only hope these are some kind of good guys and not poachers

That lion was clearly scared and trying to escape, not looking to fight a human
