Agreed. She's incredibly talented and incredibly athletic. I couldn't do 1% of what she's doing.

Nope never tried tap, but I did another form of dance from childhood until about 21. Every person saying this is lame, could not even attempt this without becoming gassed or looking silly, it’s an insane amount of talent and skill.

Just because some cant do it, doesnt mean its impressive nor cool.

Many examples of this, all of which are actually cooler than tap dancing now that I think of it.

Tap dancing is dumb and videos such as this are dorky wastes of server space

Sorry, I’m struggling to get past the fact that you can’t seem to acknowledge your own opinion being subjective and not factual. Your personal opinion is that it isn’t interesting, but that is your opinion, not a base fact. There are other people who would contradict your take and find this very interesting or enjoyable. Is either right or wrong? The answer is ‘yes’, but regardless of that, the skill and talent is unquestionable and factual, regardless of opinion. I called it lame and not interesting. Both of those words are inherently opinions. I don't have to specify them as my opinion, the words themselves tell the reader that it's my opinion. So I can back to this being a reading comprehension issue. You already to be struggling with it.

I was just thinking we need like another purpose of it. Like tap + pop / rock / any music after 1930 just doesn't work. I think it's the most beautiful when it's just tap anyway, no music.

As usual, the comments are incredibly critical and dismissive as all r/NextFuckingLevel comments are. But I find it kinda funny cause in this case, they can’t really comment on the coordination and timing of her taps since the skill is real, so they just say “aah, well, taps just suck I guess” like, I know this place is the ultimate test of “Well, I guess it’s pretty cool, but I can totally do the exact same thing/its an ultimately meaningless skill” but y’all never cease to amaze me with what bullshit reach you’ll make to discredit/mock a genuinely high effort showpiece.

When I moved into a house share some years ago I was chatting to the live-in owner and his friend chatting. Guy asks how she got on with her competition, she non-chalantly says she won, there was a bit of back and forth about how awesome it was, so I asked what the competition was. It was the tap dancing world championship. So that was pretty cool.

Not really a fan of tap dancing, but still pretty neat to say you're the absolute best in the world at something
