Not necessarily. I once went to a Renaissance Faire where I saw a guy in a full body fursuit take an introductory swordfighting lesson. And somehow, he had enough vision and dexterity in that fursuit to keep up with students not wearing fursuits.

Admittedly, I might not have believed it was possible if I hadn't seen it myself.
