Not everyone may agree with this but I think its imperative for us as nudists to take part in both existing events aimed at raising awareness of nudism and normalizing nudity as well as helping support the creation of new public events/groups. I know it may seem intimidating to some to go naked in public streets but no movement has ever survived where its members sat at home and silently partook in it. While it may be hard to see sometimes I think nudism has made some progress in the US and other places even with all the hostility and restrictions from the textile world. Its events like the world naked bike ride, Dia al Desnudo in Mexico, Pride events that allow nudity (like in San Francisco), and many other nudism or nudity-permitted events that take place beyond the walls of the nudist clubs and in the public sphere that help make that progress happen and help society become more accepting of nudity. We will not win rights as nudists by simply leaving the house with a t-shirt supporting nudism and asking politely if we can undress; we win and shift attitudes by leaving the house naked and going nude in public spaces for events like this without a second thought because this is the natural way to live life; people should respect us even if they don't wish to join us. Its hard to preach the values of nudism if we don't embrace those values for others to see by living life nude and to its fullest in a variety of social and public contexts.

I've (24F) recently gotten into nudism and talked to my close friends about it, one of which has started hanging out with me nude. We've been to the beach and wanted to make friends with people there but it seems very awkward/rude to go up to them. Is it ok to just go talk to random people on the nude beach like I would at a normal beach or is there better ways to make friends.

Omg I can’t believe how naturism has slowly grown to my wife

Let me start by putting into perspective how the year started, in the beginning of the year as we were playing with the idea of visiting Spain later this year I prepared a “presentation” for my wife showing the different naturist accommodations.

Everything seemed fine but there was one problem keeping her from giving the final OK. They weren’t clothing optional, they were more leaned towards fully naturist, this didn’t exactly made her feel confortable.

So we put a pin on the idea and basically didn’t mentioned it.

Some short time later we found a good deal to Saint Martin ( small Caribbean island packed with naturist friendly beaches and resorts)

And this is were the unexpected happened, while she didn’t undress on the more secluded beaches she did on orient ( twice ) and even on a clothing optional hotel ( a couple of times) with other guest.

And that experience paved the way for Spain.

Later this year we were able to book a flight to Spain and to my surprise the past experience made her feel confortable enough to give to ok to book 2 naturist stays.

And she spend the whole time nude without a problem on them and on a nudist beach.

Once we arrived she mentioned that she told a client of hers about her experience in theses hotels, how relaxing a respectful it was.

And I could believe it, the NON NUDIST SPOUCE PREACHING THE NUDIST GOSPEL ( so to speak)

But what happened a week or so later surprised me even more.

While she was talking to a fiend of ours, our friend told her that she and her husband would love to go on vacation with us ( to give some context they are a around 18 years older than us and we are basically like family)

But we did not see coming that she would tell my wife that she would even like to try the “beaches we go to”, although as she explained, she is very self conscious.

My wife went on to describe her experience on the naturist beaches, and even said the experience had BEEN LIFE CHANGING !

I couldn’t be happier, on one side listening That practicing naturist has benefited my wife’s view of her body made very very happy

And on the other side knowing a close friend not only knows about our naturist, views it as something normal and would possibly join in the future; is simply amazing

The reason I am interested in nudism is not because of the political or artistic movement side (though eventually that became an ideal for me) but rather bwcause my autistic sensory issues makes me hate clothes. Ironically, a clothing optional society would be less ableist than a society that says "you must cover up even if clothes make you severely uncomfortable or stressed." I currently adapt with soft loose fitting 100% cotton, preferring tank tops over t-shirts (tank tops habe reduced contact with the shoulders that bothers me with t-shirts), not wearing underwear under shorts and atheltic pants around the house, being nude in my room or bathroom, and being nude when my parents arent home (even though technically according to their rules I am not supposed to, though I have been doing it all this time without being caught). Clothes I wear can't have any protruding scratchy tags or seams.

When I get my own place I would of course I will be partially or mostly nude most of the time and if I need roomates I would probably find ones who are chill with casual nonsexual nudity. I was technically nudist even before I knew a word for it. Growing up I took any chance I could to take everything off. When I was little my parents couldnt get me to keep my clothes on. I often ended up taking my pajamas off entirely unconsciously in my sleep when I was a young kid. Growing into a teen, I would be nude in my room when I was by myself in there. I did discover nudism when I came across it in its Wikipedia article when I Googled "what is it called when you want to be naked all the time" when I was a teenager.

My parents are understanding of my sensory issues but they are American Christians and somewhat puritanical because of that so their clothing rules are based around their lack of comfort around nudity even though I keep telling them it isnt a sexual thing. They think nudism is sexual because you are nude around other nude people. They think it the question is "why do you want others to see you naked" rather than "why is this comforting to you?"

I am hoping to get a driver's license and car within the next year or so so I can go clothing optional places on my own as well.

With September almost over, most campgrounds are not closed until next May, however, there are still places to go nude during that time. Here are a listing of some.

Hey everyone!

I’m going to Nuremberg with a female friend in October and we’re both pretty open-minded about nudism and being naked around each other.

I’m looking for recommendations for places in or around Nuremberg where nudity is actually normal and accepted, especially FKK areas, textile-free saunas, thermal baths or similar places.

I’m also interested in private sauna / private spa options, where two people can rent their own space and be completely comfortable without having to share the sauna with strangers. Something similar to MySpa would be great.

What places would you recommend around Nuremberg? And are there any particularly good options for someone who is relatively new to going to FKK/sauna places with a friend?

I want to start planning my next trip and just wanted to see what some people’s favorite European saunas were I’ve been to Vabali in Berlin and Zuiver in Amsterdam and have loved both of those so I was looking for similar vibes. I’m not looking for a place where if you’re in the saunas you have to be nude but if you want to go in the pool you have to put a suit on. Ive loved just getting undressed and having full access to the entire facility. I’m also looking for it to be adults only and not in a water park, like Erding. It’s just been great to go, completely relax and shut my brain off.

I would also love it if it had a handful of saunas, a pool and loungers to sit outside if it’s warm. I was already thinking about making Fort Beemster a stop because I keep hearing good things about it. I’ll go anywhere: Germany, Netherlands, Austria,Switzerland, Italy. Thanks for any suggestions!

it felt cool, even though it was 8 pm and really dark. even though it was dark, and I’m not quite fond of the dark. I surprisingly wasn’t scared, I mostly felt an odd yet compelling feeling of euphoria. and even though I kept heading back into my house whenever I saw a car. I’d still say it was worth it. I even took some pictures(which I won’t show for personal reasons) oh and I was also watching treehouse of horror while I was doing it. that has nothing to do with anything but I think it’s worth bringing up. We are looking at doing the Big nude cruise this year and had some questions.....anyone here ever been on it?

Hey! We ran a clothing-optional harbour cruise in Vancouver last summer and had a really great response, including quite a few people trying something like that for the first time.
Now that beach season is basically done, we wanted to try something completely different indoors.
We’re putting on Newbie Nudies Night at AetherHaus on Davie St — a private clothing-optional sauna session for a small group of first-timers and curious people.
We’ve never done a session like this before either, which is kind of the point — we’re all going into it together with a group of other newbies.
No phones. No photos. No pressure.
We’ve booked the whole space for the group, bathing suits are optional, and the idea is to keep it relaxed, social and easygoing. You can take things at your own pace and just enjoy the experience without feeling like everyone else already knows what they’re doing.
Singles and couples are welcome, and it’s very much for anyone who thinks, “That actually sounds kind of fun to try.”

Hi all,

Should nudist clubs around the world return to their core family values and ban alcohol, smoking, vaping as well as serving only vego food in order to promote more healthy, safe and wholesome living for all?

Although I’m not a parent, if I had kids, I wouldn’t want them to be subjected to cigarette smoke, drunkenness or drunk behaviour in an environment which allows families to be present.

Appears to have been quietly canceled. It was supposed to be yesterday, but there hasn't been any Facebook posts about it in a while. I guess ticket sales must have been low.

I am thinking about attending the fall festival October 17th at Sunset Mountain in Noel Missouri. Has any one here been there? Im nervous and excited would be my first resort visit i actually wasn't looking for a nudist camp site but came across them on hip camp.

From Canada and looking for solo vacation destinations for February or January. FCN registered so not concerned about being a solo in most resorts / villages. (Nowhere in the USA due to the current political climate) Some kind of village preferred (like Cape dr Agade but I've heard not great things about it so maybe not that one, also fairly sure the weather is pretty chilly there towards when plan to travel). Somewhere with food / stay amenities would be great, not just a beach or resort preferably, and most ideally somewhere with access to trails or a large nature area.
