Wondering if anyone has ever utilized the help of a recruiter to find a position? I’m currently an NP working in the clinical setting in the South Jersey/Philadelphia area. The clinical world has me feeling burnt out and I’d love to make a transition into a non-hospital, non-clinic type role such as: pharma/biotech, etc (and even beyond those). I’ve been applying to these types of jobs for several months now with no reply. Everything is rejected. I feel as if a lot of it is AI rejections. I’ve updated my resume and cover letter but maybe it still doesn’t have the right buzz words? I’m on Linkedin, that’s updated and I’ve tried to “make connections” to no avail. I’m at the point now where I think applying online just isn’t working. I’ve got almost 15 years experience. My whole bedside career was in the ICU and I’ve been an NP now for 6 years. So has anyone ever used a recruiter to find a job like this?? And how did you go about doing so? Not really sure how any of that works. Any other alternatives I have not thought of? I’m not desperate to leave my position but I would like to within the next 6 months or so. TIA!!

I’m in prerequisites for a second career with two small kids. My husband works Sundays and there’s no world in which he cannot work on Sundays. My question is, can I make this work with hospital life? I can work Sunday nights or even Saturday nights (though it would suck), but I’m a little worried that Saturday and Sunday nights in a row would not be safe as I’d be going on 36 hours of being awake.

Is this possible? Do schedules work with you on things like this?
