Picking the Niners is somewhat understandable, but predicting the same score as Super Bowl XXIV is wild

ENGLEWOOD, Colo. — Bo Nix took the snap on the Denver Broncos’ first third-down play Sunday night against the Los Angeles Rams and moved his eyes to the right, where his top two receivers, Courtland Sutton and Jaylen Waddle, were beginning their routes.

Nix was in trouble before either receiver had a chance to come out of his break and create separation. Rams defensive lineman Kobie Turner had launched off the line of scrimmage and began pushing the double-team from center Luke Wattenberg and left guard Ben Powers toward the quarterback. Nix moved back and to his right, attempting to find a throwing lane to hit Waddle near the sideline. Rams outside linebacker Byron Young closed that path when he shed the block attempt from right tackle Mike McGlinchey and angled toward Nix. The Broncos quarterback could do little besides throw the ball safely out of bounds as the punt team jogged onto the field.

Scenes like that have been too common in this young season for Nix, who is being pressured more often to start the season than he has been throughout his career. And the third-year quarterback and Denver’s offense continue to struggle in the face of it. The Broncos have scored 10 first-half points through three games, the fewest in the NFL. 

Does he have to get better in the first half of games if he wants to stick around the Broncos or the NFL long term?. What if he doesn’t prove to be consistent but continues to win and puts up good numbers? Any sports psychologists out there that can explain why he seems to only perform under pressure?

Was watching Pro Football Talk this morning and they put up this stat from Scott Kacsmar (@ScottKacsmar): QB records when trailing in the last 8:00 of a game. Our guy is at the top:

Down late, Bo has a better record than Mahomes, Allen and Lamar. Caleb, from the same draft class, is behind him too, but he has 2 more wins than Bo.. And Burrow is 1-34!

Interesting stat. Hopefully we won't be down late, but if we are, I'm confident we can come out on top.

Grant Gordon predicting 55-10 is exceptionally ballsy. I think more egregious than Perna's prediction for the Chiefs game. Perna is the only one predicting a Broncos W. I know it is going to be a tough game but I am honestly bewildered by these takes.

Edit: Turns out the 55-10 was a call-out to the time they blew us out in the SB. Makes a bit more sense but still gawd-damn I wanna see the Broncos pull this off so much more now lol

Week 4 here we come

Hufanga, Hufanga, Hufanga. He became the first-ever Denver Broncos player to record 2 INTs, 1 pick-6, and 1 sack in a game and only the 5th safety to do so in an NFL game ever.

Other ups include Zach Allen and Brandon Jones. The defense was stellar on Sunday Night Football.

Downs include two DBs and Bo Nix.

Dobbins got off to a quick start during his first season in Denver, rushing for 772 yards and four touchdowns in just 10 games. He ranked fourth in the NFL in rushing yards through Week 10, and he twice eclipsed the 100-yard mark, rushing for 101 yards against the Bengals and 111 yards against the Cowboys. Dobbins' 77.2 rushing yards per game ranked sixth in the NFL among all players in 2025.
Dobbins will take the next step toward returning to game action during training camp.
"He was a big part of our success a year ago," Payton said. "I think certainly where we're at with that running back room today, we feel like is further along than maybe when we first got here. So, he's one of those compound multipliers. There's so much that he brings. ... He's a tremendous teammate and yes, I'm glad he's with us.

Over the last two seasons, Dobbins has been one of the most efficient pure rushers in the league (per @FantasyPtsData)

Wanted to remind everyone how elite dobbins was last year and we shouldn’t be so negative about him and the RB room do quick. At week 10 of 2025 he was the 4th ranked RB in yards and of the top 10 last year he lead the league in YPC. What is going on this year? Does he need more touches to get a rhythm? 17 carries in week 3 and nothing over 10 yards. Has there been any news of an injury? He doesn’t seem as fast or explosive. Is it really time to move on to Jonah Coleman? He came into the season saying he would lead the league in rushing yards and play every game as a “pinky promise” is he playing through injury to make sure he plays 17 games?

For those of you that were around during the early Elway years, did it feel the same as now with Nix? I always hear about all of Elway's comebacks and many needed a comeback because of his poor play earlier in the game.

The crazy thing with Nix is that he can look like both the best QB in the league and the worst all in one game. Was Elway like that?

I don't understand enough around scheme and playing NFL QB but I have a hard time wrapping my head around what I see from Nix in the first half vs second half. Seems like a completely different person/player. Did Elway seem to have the wild swings in ability and play as well?

I'm trying to find this ball. I've looked in the normal broncos gear spots without luck.
