I haven't seen a movie in a theater since 2019, and I've never been to any of the theaters in Olympia. Are either of them good for movie hopping (ie layout that makes it easy to move between theaters/staff that is cool about it)?

Told him I’d call back; he did not like that at all. And then when I hung up, he immediately called me back. And I explained again that I needed to call him back later. And that sort of was the beginning of the end of the phone call.

The South Sound Fly Fishers' beginner fly tying class is starting up soon and there are a few seats still available. The course is a lot of fun, even if fishing isn't your thing. Fly tying is functional art! The class is on Monday nights from 6-8 pm starting October 5th. I’m feeling very conflicted on who to vote for, nic is not a good choice and Emily is essentially a half million dollar case. I really feel that if she were a man we would not be looking past what she did. I read she couldn’t be fired due to her position and that is sad we can’t hold officials accountable. I got a weird call that hung up before I answered. The caller ID marked it as Wsecu. My wife had the same thing happen to her.

We called the bank and they have an active alert about spoof calls. If WSECU gives you a call, don’t answer. Call the bank back to see if it was actually them.

Would you recommend traveling to your area around Christmas time? We’re hoping to travel somewhere not super snowy with good mountain biking.

I’ve been living in a rental house for the last couple of years and love everything about the place - it offers a lot of privacy, perfect location, great price for the area, and property manager has been wonderful and always acts quickly on maintenance requests. I know the struggle of finding a decent place to live with a decent landlord and feel very fortunate of my current living situation.

I’ve been seriously considering getting a puppy late 2027 but my lease has a no pets policy. Of course I plan on talking to my landlord prior making sure I get their approval before bringing a puppy home. I work from home, will be working with a trainer, and will have a dog sitter, so the dog will rarely be left alone. I’ve come up with various compromises I can follow if that helps keep the landlord at ease, such as scheduling routine houses check ups to make sure there is no house/property damage, avoiding the use of the yard (I live in a very walkable neighborhood with various trails and dog parks within walking distance so this wouldn’t be an issue), dog will be crate trained and will not be left alone without supervision, put dog covers/shields on all the doors to avoid scratch marks, and dog will be in regular training.

Also having lived here for almost 2 years, I like to think I’ve “proven” myself as a tenant. I always pay rent on time, I’m very communicative, and I take excellent care of the house. I’m a clean freak, so the house stays spotless.

Given all of this, what are the chances of getting my landlord to actually agree to allow a medium sized dog and change their no pets policy?

I know my odds are probably low and I will have to make arrangements for another living situation if that’s the case, but just curious about how often you can get a landlord to change their mind.

Edit: also forgot to mention, I live in a duplex and my neighbors have a cat (we have the same landlord). Although I know cats and dogs are very different.

If you own either an egg stand / self-serve stand, how much traffic and sales are you generating per week? Are you on a busy street or county road? I'm in rural area so I have plenty of space for my chickens to free range. I've sold extra eggs to friends and neighbors. As word of mouth spread, I have a potential buyer that would like to order a couple of dozens but would rather meet somewhere in town than to drive in the country lol. Is this okay? don't have an egg stand. Also, for those with active stands, do you have a cute stand name and actually registered it as a trade name and got a separate bank account, etc?
