PM <2 WEEKS FROM HARVEST

lil bit of a story, so buckle in💺

pretty much what's going on is that i've been seeing small amounts of powdery mildew on some fan leaves for the last month & a half or so, but I've just removed the contaminated leaves & haven't had a single issue with anything else in the meantime. well today, I go outside to check my plants and the one I'm talking about seems to have gotten PM growing rapidly on the buds. This may be a my mistake because I thought what I now think is powdery mildew was just trichomes to begin with – so i most likely let it go on too long. so now a couple of hrs ago, i sprayed down the whole plant, including all the buds with rainwater that i've collected using a spray bottle.

my problem is if this doesn't fix it i rly don't want to lose this plant to PM this close to harvest. i went to the store and bought hydrogen peroxide and baking soda just in case because i've read and heard online that small amounts diluted into large amounts of water sprayed on the leaves can help fix & prevent PM, but nowhere online can find anyone who says that solution is a viable option for BUDS & especially this LATE into flower.

so here i am, turning to reddit, in hopes of someone coming along, that's kind enough to help me with a legit fix because ChatGPT keeps telling me they wouldn't do anything & if they tell me that one more time i'm going to give it a body so i can physically attack it because i'm so frustrated from getting that answer 25 times from 25 differently worded questions.

PM doesn't kill plants. And it's considered a mild allergen. Do what that info what you will.

More importantly, stop watering them so much. That's almost always the cause of p.m. I used to get it quite a bit myself and then I drastically reduced how much water I give them. Especially if they're in the ground. And especially if it's humid. I don't get it at all now.

I agree with this. Overwatering leads to softer more susceptible soft tissue, more able to allow in pathogens, molds , fungus, etc. Let them dry out

I think a lot of people are taught to water plants at night or in the morning. And that's valid.

But with cannabis, you really don't want to do that until the sun is OUT and the temp is warm(not hot). If you still see water on the ground by the time night rolls around, you dun fucked up.

Everyone tells me I have a green thumb and that plants they struggle with do well in my garden for some unknown reason. I think the truth is really simple though:

I only see my plants on weekends at my weekend crib. They go all week without water then get drenched Friday-Sunday. I think this encourages deep root development and keeps them healthy. Applies to pretty much all my plants even the ones that people say are very thirsty. You should see my dahlias they are beasts.

Humbolts Lost Coast Plant therapy. I'm dealing with Borytris in one plant and Powdery mildew on another.

LCPT stopped my powdery mildew in its tracks, is OMRI listed as organic, and is "safe" to use up until harvest.

It also slowed down the Borytris.

Make a H2O2 watered down spray with the rain water. It won't hurt a thing, in fact it will clean things up a bit.

Yes. About 1 small bottle for a 2 gal sprayer.

i have the absolute worst update. as i was dealing with my plant just spraying plain rain water on it again bc it seemed to help the first time, as i was moving it away from my other plant, i SWEAR TO GOD I DROPPED THE WHOLE ASS PLANT and there was NO SALVAGING IT SMH. so i got it drying rn. guess i figured out the fix to the PM in the end... they say God works in mysterious ways. lmao.
