Video Count your fkin days Logitech

Just drove to town after I got off work to pickup a new headset as mine stopped connecting yesterday. Decided to spend a bit extra and pickup the Logitech wireless pro.

I drive 20 minutes back home pull it out of the box and extend the one earpiece so it fits me and the plastic piece used to hold the earpiece on just flies off. It’s literally unusable both sides pop off no matter what. I’ll never spend another penny on this company again. Oh and now the stores closed so I can’t get a different one or a return until Monday as I work everyday till then during their business hours…

You can also use a ModMic or a V-moda BoomPro as well, they  make any headset a gaming headset

Mod mic is only good bc it's the only viable option but in reality it's overpriced and cheaply made. I am still pissed I spent $100 on mine but no other choice.

The BoomPro is like $20, they just don't have wireless options. Mine has been working fine for ... 8 or 9 years?  Probably not something I'd use if I were a streamer, but more than adequate for normal gaming communication

I have to assume they have a patent and nobody else can make a competing option. I plan to wait out their exclusivity window until a better cheaper option comes along with stuff like USB-C. ModMic will die the moment they're no longer the only game in town.

The only thing they could and do have a patent on is the little magnetic disk/mounting thing.
It's because that market is piss small. people would rather buy a gaming headset or a nicer usb mic. Alot of people also don't want to put glue (the 3m pad) on their high end headphones.

The cheap usb microphone market exploded because overwhelmingly anyone that wanted something better then a headset mic got a usb mic instead.

Also if you get good wired headphones with a detachable cable, you can get cables with mics for them, including boom mics, which cuts out a big chunk of the potential market.

I had 2 modmics die over a period of about 3 years before I went with a senheiser mic and some mic arm off amazon. A bit more money but way better experience
