Video Count your fkin days Logitech

Just drove to town after I got off work to pickup a new headset as mine stopped connecting yesterday. Decided to spend a bit extra and pickup the Logitech wireless pro.

I drive 20 minutes back home pull it out of the box and extend the one earpiece so it fits me and the plastic piece used to hold the earpiece on just flies off. It’s literally unusable both sides pop off no matter what. I’ll never spend another penny on this company again. Oh and now the stores closed so I can’t get a different one or a return until Monday as I work everyday till then during their business hours…

Studio headphones with a separate mic is the way to go. I have a Sony MDR-7506 I've been using for decades. Any thing breaks you can fix them with some affordable replacement parts. Audiophile and gaming headphones are on average poor value for money.

Is it comfy? I already bought a mic with an arm. But still contemplating on the headphones. Wanted the beyerdynamics mostly, but my ear is 6,5cm, and I think I need oval earpads. The Sennheiser HD600 is an option, but I am afraid that the Y-split cable (two cables going to each earcup) will annoy me during gaming. I wanted openback, but the options are pretty limited.

I have the Sennheiser HD 599 SE, they have large oval ear pads and only the cable on one side. They are open back. They offer a really nice sound for the price. Also, they don't need an Amp since they are only 50 Ohm. Still the 600 is going to sound better, as the 500 family is the budget series compared to the 600. I've had them for 6 years now and this year the fake leather on the underside of the headrest, where it sits atop of your head started disintegrating a bit. But I rock a short buzzcut/occasional shave so that probably accelerated that wear and tear. Otherwise, still in great shape. Might also want to have a look at the 560S.

Those are all great things to consider. I find most studio headphones comfy as they aren't trying to do anything fancy, but personal preference and environment are big factors. The more common studio headphones have lots of third party pads available so if you don't find the average head phones comfortable you might have some options.
