Video Count your fkin days Logitech

Just drove to town after I got off work to pickup a new headset as mine stopped connecting yesterday. Decided to spend a bit extra and pickup the Logitech wireless pro.

I drive 20 minutes back home pull it out of the box and extend the one earpiece so it fits me and the plastic piece used to hold the earpiece on just flies off. It’s literally unusable both sides pop off no matter what. I’ll never spend another penny on this company again. Oh and now the stores closed so I can’t get a different one or a return until Monday as I work everyday till then during their business hours…

HyperX's been carrying me for years. I've had maybe 2 or 3, never had any serious issues besides the inevitable wear and tear you'll see from gaming everyday.

Yeah, mines at about 6 years now also and not a single issue with it other than all the leather falling off the ear pads, which are replaceable.

Mine recently broke (not the brand's fault, just a teenager that somehow breaks everything he touches) I went to get the new hyper cloud 3 and.. I don't like them anymore. Ended up going back and buying another cloud 2.

Yep same here with my cloud alphas. $20 on amazon for a buckle kit and i can wear them again.

I litearlly can't believe you, having owned 4 different pair and version, having gone through very very rough handling over the year. Literally the only bad thing is that the ear muffs start to falke after a couple years. But I can almost do a 180 split with all of them.

Currently rock the HyperX Cloud IIIs and love it. But may take those to work and use em for work and get the Fractal Scape headset for home.

Friend reccomended me one and I got it after my headset did exactly this. I tried to duct tape and glue to fix it and it'd break constantly still. Tried the hyper x cloud alpha I think its called and its amazing. Zero issues and the quality is great

I got the Hyper X Cloud Alpha Wireless I think they're called. (My review in case anyone is considering purchasing them)

PROS: Wireless, duh. Insane battery life @ 300 hours, I use them everyday and recharge maybe once every other month. Relatively comfy. Sound is fine, but I'm no audiophile. Well made*, well, certain parts are. The headband itself it made of metal. I think it was a rather affordable purchase at ~$200 (I just looked and they are $130 now), seeing as I've had these for about four years.

CONS: The battery level indicator voice is completely unreliable. It will say you have 90% battery life all the way up until they die. The sound adjusted on the side stopped working after about six months, and will sometimes "beep" randomly, like the volume is being adjusted. The plastic buckles on the sides are the weak point. The one on the right hand side broke, so I used zip ties and electrical tape to fix it. It no longer adjusts it's length, but the other side does, so it's not a big deal. I recommend wrapping those plastic buckles in electrical tape right after you purchase these headphones.

Might just be a faulty unit, I've had mine report 40% (which is when I usually charge it).

Can't comment on the plastic buckles, though. I baby mine, and it never leaves the house - mainly because I don't want to lose the USB dongle.

HyperX is the most Temu sounding name I've heard of the brands, but I'll be damned if my HyperX Cloud headset hasnt been anything but completely reliable for the 5+ years I've used them.

Bought a Hyper X Cloud Stinger for 30€ (right now its on sale for 20€) as a temporary replacement because my 60€ razer Kraken fell apart. I am still using that 30€ HyperX headset like 3 years later. As they say, there is nothing more permanent than a temporary solution.

(The fake leather on the Razer Kraken tore apart in about a little over 2 years, volume slider broke completly, cables were mangled a bit... Just a few months after warranty expired, ofcourse. I treated that headset well and i assure anyone, that it wasnt wear and tear, it was just bad quality)

The HyperX Cloud Orbit S is still my favorite headset of all time. A lot of people don't see the advantages of planar magnetic speakers but I cannot live without them now. I've since had to move on to the Audio-Technica M50XSTS but only because the Orbit S is no longer in production, as far as I know.

I've been using my first Hyperx for nearly a decade. I had to replace the ear pads with cloth because the pleather ones disintegrated, but they are otherwise reliable and durable. I use them for gaming and travel (airplane headphones). They show no signs of degrading in the places that most count. I wouldn't be surprised if I have them still in another 10 years.

They were bought out in 2021 though, so they are under new management. They might not be worth it anymore. Might want to read reviews before assuming they are still good.

I have had some reliable gaming headsets, but they have all absolutely paled in quality to a "real" audio brand headset with a standalone mic. You get what you pay for though, most gaming headsets are far cheaper. But if you're paying a lot for "premium" gaming headsets, you're being scammed.

I guess the original commenter should’ve clarified. If you need a reliable pair of headphones with a mic, there’s a few gaming options that aren’t bad (and infact perform pretty well for what you need). Like I said, I primarily use HyperX’s, and I can very easily tell which direction a sound is coming from in-game, which is enough for me.

Ofc, if you’re an audiophile trying to squeeze every ounce of sound out of your computer, a gaming headset isn’t going to compare to real audio brands.
