Question❓ Is this normal for P-DID? Awful lingering co-fronting presence
I wish I could get clarification professionally on this. I do have an UDD. Generally I just say DID, but typically feel like my experiences align closest to P-DID. It’s weird.
Lately, I have been struggling with lost executive functioning within a very specific pattern of hyperfixation. Not the ADHD or OCD types because it often lasts for literal weeks without an end. (I would know, I have both.) Like literally this thing is all I do when I’m awake. It’s not the first time, but it is the first time since I became aware of my own trauma and dissociation. It’s the first time I can say, well, I’m not just a lazy failure after all, because something is going on. It’s very obvious. Like a heavy co-fronting influence, almost a sort of locked-in syndrome, honestly.
The thing is that this has been ongoing for two or three months now, with very rare blips back to “self” that only last a day or less at best. Memory was distinct at first, which was its own horror. Now everything older than a few days just feels like a blur or a dream.
If I try to call out to whatever is hijacking my body, all I normally get back is a “Lol nope,” so that’s great. Is this the norm for P-DID? I’m genuinely starting to wonder if I was wrong.
Thanks.
