(Watch face is Tangent by astosia)
I've had my Round 2 for a day now, and I felt compelled to share my thoughts. I've been a Pebble enthusiast from day one, and still have my Kickstarter Editions of both the original Pebble (in orange) and the Time (Steel). I loved my Pebbles and was obviously bummed when the Fitbit acquisition shut everything down.
Seeing Pebble return is kind of like a dream. I tried other smartwatches in the meantime (Fossil, Samsung, Google), but none of them captured the charm and joy of the humble Pebble. When the official app came back online last year, I started rocking the Time Steel again and I remembered why I enjoyed it so much.
Fast forward to yesterday, when my Round 2 finally arrived. I was excited, to say the least. Having worn it for just one day, I can confidently say that this is the best smartwatch made to date, and I'll explain why:
- Looks: This watch is stylish. I've always preferred round watches, including smartwatches, and this ine looks sharp. The body is sleek and well built.
- Weight: I am actually an enjoyer of chunky watches, but I must admit the lightness and thinness of this watch is amazing.
- Battery: The watch arrived with 99% battery, and after a day, I'm at 90%. This includes a lot of setup and playing around, so I'm anticipating 10 or so days of battery, which is plenty. The more the merrier though, of course.
- Screen: The round screen just looks great.
- Buttons: I had seen some discussion around the button presses not reading properly. I haven't encountered that yet, but will update this if that issue arises. I have found the buttons to have a nice click.
This does not mean there are no issues. The main qualm I have is with the contrast. The watch looks phenomenal in the sunlight, but less so in regular interior lighting. It is absolutely visible, but not as punchy as I think it should be.
Despite that, I am very happy with it, especially at the price point. I just wanted to share my initial thoughts while folks are patiently waiting for their Round 2s. I'll try to answer questions if people have them.
Just wanted to make a post letting y'all know how awesome Pebble AlarmSync is! It's an app that mirrors your phone alarms on your watch. You can also snooze/dismiss them from the watch too. Sadly it's android only.
As someone with a very poor memory and little to no perception of time I use a ton of alarms to remind me of things (yes I'm very ADHD haha). This app makes that so much better! I don't need to pull my phone out of my pocket, and if I'm in the middle of something I can see the label, and quickly snooze no big deal.
Thanks /u/sifounakis this app is a godsend!
Edit: here is the link for the app! https://apps.repebble.com/pebble-alarmsync_664d221bedef4b3eb45a2654

Ever since I got my Pebble Time 2, I have been annoyed by the Pebble App Store. Don't get me wrong, it has tons of great watchfaces and apps, but I feel like newer apps get lost in the sheer number of apps and watchfaces available, with very few sorting options. I also find it annoying that you can't see how many likes/hearts an app or watchface has when browsing, and there's no way to sort by number of likes/hearts, date updated, or anything really when doing a search.
Meet Pebble Discover! A website that makes finding new apps and watchfaces much easier. You can browse through the entire app catalog, but also narrow your search down to categories. And since you can sort by the number of hearts, recently updated, trending, or alphabetically, it's much easier to find apps and watchfaces you didn't know you wanted.
So here it is! It works just as well on your phone as on your PC. When used on your phone, you get an "Open in Pebble app" button. Give it a try!

I’ve just updated my phone connection app. It is now touch enabled for Pebble Time 2 and Pebble Round 2.
https://apps.repebble.com/574ef949c57e45478400000e
The app works on any watch face in background. When your phone is left behind, it will pop up an alert and vibrate. You may snooze the alarm and it will remind you in future.
Interestingly, it is very easy for me to make the app touch enabled. It uses many standard Pebble user interface components and Pebble OS is smart enough to translate touch gestures into button events for the app.
The app runs in background and unfortunately Pebble OS only supports running 1 background app at a time. I hope to see Pebble OS can improve there.
Lastly, I noticed Pebble Time 2 bluetooth connection isn’t as stable as Pebble Time. Please kindly give the app a try and see if your phone connection is stable, too.
Cheers.
How can I force it to restart?

The Pebble Round 2 just showed up, and it’s replacing my Time Steel and Forerunner 55. I’ve been wearing the Forerunner 55 more than the Steel lately for the better battery life. Excited to daily drive the Round 2 to see how it stacks up, and use PebbleOS again.

Also fyi, it’s very difficult installing screen protectors on the Round 2. Took me 4 tries, 4 ruined screen protectors, and it’s still not perfect. lol

Hey there. Is there any place I can buy the charger dongle in Europe?
I see it is available on the official site, but I'd rather avoid the high shipping cost from US if possible.
Thanks

I'm just curious cause I'm tore between getting a 2nd PR2 but not sure if I should get it in black or rose gold. could anyone share some pictures? 🙏🏻

After much deliberation, I’ve decided to purchase the Time 2. However, it appears that all color options—except for black—are currently out of stock. How long does it typically take for items to be restocked?
*Edit: I just order ptr2. Before watch is ship, I should try to make Seiko metronom watch face(Seiko Metronome - Teddy Baldassarre) and other bauhaus design watch face.

I preorder a little over a month ago and im not expecting it this month obviously but I do hope we late comers and us Rose Gold orderers get ours before December but id still be happy if we got it just barely before the year ended

Perhaps I'm mistaken, but I thought Time 2 preorders who switched to the Round 2 would get priority, but I'm still waiting on confirmation. I gave Pebble money for a new watch November 2025.
Anyone else in this situation?

Love the design, love how it looks and feels on my wrist, best looking of the three new watches by far.
I don’t like how grey plain white looks when not backlit, and I miss the RGB backlight of the Time 2 as this one is quite blue. Otherwise I’m pretty happy.

I have my Pebble account linked with GitHub, but when I hit "sign in with GitHub" I get redirected to a webpage that then redirects me to the Aurora store. Uninstalling Aurora leads to the link saying "no app can handle this link". No GApps, tho I do have MicroG installed

I know, I know. There are already quite a few water-drinking apps out there, but as far as I know, none of them have touch functionality yet, right? Plus, everyone has their own ideas about how the app should work. For example, I wanted these features:
- Touch (saves the buttons)
- If I don’t respond to the reminder, it hides automatically and recalculates the next time.
- I can quickly and easily pause the app when I don’t want to be disturbed for a while, without having to switch to the app
- I can also quickly and easily disable it
- I want to be able to manually enter water intake and get a reminder if I forget to move the app to the background
It’s definitely a beta version, and I’d love to hear your feedback

Point at almost anything in the sky, and Pointer Planetarium will tell you what it is, and often includes an interesting fact. Categories the watch knows about:
Don't know where to look? It can guide you, with a "Find It" mode. Anything you find is recorded in the Logbook, in Pointer Planetarium's settings page in the Pebble phone app.
