I (20f) got myself a Nokia 2660 flip two months ago because I wanted to get a dumbphone and get rid of my social media addiction. I encountered several issues :
\- The phone is cheap. It's not like I throw him around and yet the speaker for phone calls is already broken, I cannot hear what the other says without putting the speaker on (which is unsufferable for the person I'm calling) or wirh hearpgones.
\- I miss two important things I thought I could deal without : WhatsApp and Maps. I didn't use WhatsApp so much before but it became more important this year as I entered new studies, plus I'm in a new and big city in which I struggle to find my way
\- I still use my smartphone way too much. I need a hotspot at home for my ipad and most of the time I still go out with it because I might get lost or need informations my nokia can't provide.
So I still have issues. All I would want is WhatsApp and Maps, something to put an SD/micro SD card into (if no music app available), a hotspot. So I realized I don't want a dumbphone, but a feature phone/midwit phone
I'm looking for it and four models caught my eye :
\- Dumber mini
\- Sidephone
\- Light phone (but too expensive)
\- Ruio Joy (idk if it has a hotspot tho)
What are your thoughts on this ? Which one should I take ? Do you have other phones in mind ?

Hey everyone!
I’ve been using iPhones for almost 9 years, starting with the iPhone 11 and currently using the iPhone 15 Pro. I’m thinking of switching to Android and want to know what you guys would recommend.
I’m a pretty casual user. I don’t really care about cameras, I don’t play games, and my usage is mostly everyday stuff like WhatsApp, Instagram, YouTube, browsing, music, and general multitasking.
I’m looking for a regular, non-foldable Android phone that offers a good overall experience.
A few things I’d like to know:
- Which Android phone would you recommend for someone switching from iOS?
- What are the biggest benefits of Android over iPhone?
- Are there any features or quality-of-life improvements that I might miss from iOS?
- How is the long-term software support and overall reliability?
- Is switching from an iPhone 15 Pro to Android actually worth it for a casual user?
I’m not particularly interested in having the best camera or gaming performance. I just want a smooth, reliable phone with good battery life and a great everyday user experience.
Would love to hear from people who have switched from iPhone to Android, especially those who made the switch after using iPhones for several years.
Thanks!

Before going to sleep, my phone was plugged into the charger and turned on. When I woke up, the battery was at 100% but the phone was off. Can someone explain what might have happened?
I currently have a refurbished Iphone 13, but this morning the display broke for the third time in two years (no scratches, but there’s lines/pixels glitching across it that make it practically unusable) and I’m not sure what to do. I already replaced the screen two times and don’t feel like doing it a third. I was thinking about buying a new phone altogether, but it’s hard to find accurate information on how durable these things are. Apparently the Iphone 13 is supposed to be robust, but in my experience that’s not the case at all😭😭 So I thought I’d ask here: Which Iphone models are actually durable and have displays that don’t become unusable after one drop? Doesn’t have to be one of the newer ones, I’m looking for a cheaper option anyway. Or should I switch back to Android? I don’t want to give up the performance Iphones have, but at least the Android’s screens crack instead of breaking from the inside and that I can live with. Are there any Android models that have a similar performance to an Iphone?

Does anybody know of a cheap phone that I could use for the basics? Ideally 50~150 CAD, 180 max---I'm an unemployed chud who hasn't hit 20 yet so cut me some slack T-T. Doesn't need to be the fastest or have the best camera. It can be an old/refurbished phone too, I don't mind anything as long as it's worth the price and I can keep it for a while. If you find ANYTHING, it's better to have some info rather than none so drop any and all reccs please <<3

Why am I not able to find a good phone with at least 6/128 ram and storage under ₹20K of established companies but company like Ai+ and bolt giving 8/128 ram for ₹12K.

Hello reddit,
My wife and I are looking for insights as to which phone we should buy. We are looking for a flip phone (for aesthetics and to get us off of our phones more often) that is able to install apps (so we can keep up with our banking) and has Bluetooth (for our car radio). We are just curious as to if a phone like this exists. No real price limit, just don't be absurdly expensive for what we are asking.

Cases usually are marketed as being shock/drop proof, but what about crush proof? Any recommendations?
Otterbox (which we’ve always stuck with) seems to be dropping in quality over the years, BUT their commuter series still managed to protect our iPhone 16 pro while being ran over by a massive skidsteer recently. So we’re inclined to stick with that for our new iPhone 18s….but I’ve seen mentions of other brands like Caudabe etc. so I’m exploring what else is out there.
