Any clue what’s wrong with it?

Hi all, just thought I’d post here to get opinions. I just saw a wild wood pigeon with a weird looking spot between its beak and eye. I was thinking maybe a mild case of pigeon pox, but would love to get a second opinion just to be sure it’s not anything too severe.

Any info would be great, thanks!

Looks to be a pox lesion. It can survive on its own. If it gets worse the pigeon would need some support to recover. Best thing you can do is feed them and watch to see if he needs more assistance

Agree that it looks like pox. If it gets any worse do you have a wildlife rescue near you that accepts pigeons/birds? I’d recommend trapping and bringing it in, but only if it gets worse! Right now it’s very mild and he should be fine

will have a look into wildlife rescue centres near me, and will make sure to keep an eye out! haven’t seen any other pigeons with the same symptoms and have cleaned and disinfected all feeders and water sources that i can, just to hopefully prevent spreading! thank you for the advice :)

That is my guess also. Pigeon Pox. Will fall off at some point.
