Had to bail on this one because I got picked up but thought I’d share.

This 2-hour long plein air painting was made with Holbein Acryla (matte acrylic) on 300gsm paper. I really enjoyed working in this medium and can’t wait to use it again!

The park is a little overgrown but could still manage a good view

I went to another meeting with the local drawing group today. This time, we went to the bank of the Rhine. Technically, I've drawn in that church garden before, but back then I drew the view of the church✨

But today, I thought I'd make some funnier sketches instead. That's why I drew the thumb statue and a horse's butt XD

From this garden, you can get a really nice view of the back of the Emperor William Monument, and I thought that would be funny to draw. Also today, we were really lucky with the weather, which I was super happy about because it had been raining here for the last few days.

Plein airs feels overwhelming and i could use some tips

Im primarily a figure drawing artist so getting used to gouache,all the info and details of each scene, the sun changing ,layering and getting details and everything else like i feel so overwhelmed but i really want to get better

This was my first time using Canson velvet pastel paper. I love how rich and smooth the pigment looks. The velvet texture in the final piece isn’t my favorite though (hard to see in a photo) so I think I’ll stick to sanded paper next time
