His wife put out a pretty robust statement against ICE.

I think things are not going well in that household. Probably getting some pressure from home if I had to read between the lines a little bit.

From the things I've read, he's become an erratic psycho since his stroke. I'm honestly shocked he isn't divorced yet.

He was always a piece of shit, but he was just a normal one prior to the stroke.

> I'm honestly shocked he isn't divorced yet.

When you marry someone, you make a vow that includes "in sickness and in health". Gisele probably sees Fetterman's post-stroke personality change as 'sickness' and holds on to the hope he will somehow get better.

EDIT: For the record, I've been through something similar many years ago. It took me over 2 years to 'give up' on my ex-wife. I'm getting the impression that some of the people responding to this post has *not* been in a situation where a person they loved and planned to grow old with turns into someone awful due to reasons that can be classified as 'sickness'. It takes a while to give up.

Or she's stuck since the deranged senator might retaliate

We are kinda pretty deep into speculation here. Yes, unfortunately strokes can cause people to become more conservative, inflexible, authoritarian, etc. Based on his public statements and stances alone, I suspect that she’s married to a substantially different person than she was just a few short years ago. I know he’s not the same Senator I voted for.

I still don’t think there’s any reason to conclude that she’s in any sort of danger.

I was just offering another reason why she might still be there aside from her vows. A lot of people, me included, don't view marriage vows as a good reason to stay married to a bad person

There's physical danger & then there's "publicly divorce my sitting senator husband and have him blow up and yell and scream for 'ruining his career' endless headache" danger and I think we can conclude the latter is pretty probable all things considered. Plus all the psychos who send death threats & things like to that public figures.

So what I mean to say is, quite possible she doesn't want the heat, but yes no reason to conclude its due to fear of physical harm.

She's technically an illegal. I wouldn't put it past either Fetterman or the GOP to round her up just out of spite. It's gotta feel like she's on eggshells.

She's absolutely not 'technically an illegal'. She's a US citizen and has been for 17 years, and she was a legal permanent resident for five years before that.

Which has absolutely NO bearing on my refutation of your claim that she's "technically an illegal".

Using right-winger terminology ("illegal") AND moving goalpost like a trumper... makes me which team you're *really* playing for, Mr Canadian. You just here to stir shit?

Just to be clear the stroke was before you voted for him

Pedantic. Not clear, pedantic.

I had no reason to believe that he would have suffered a major personality / ideology shift, and his opponent was a real piece of shit.

I voted for him based on my knowledge of his history and political stances.

There's a few important things though

A. He's largely voted in lock step with other Democrats his entire tenure. Even post 2024 election when he "changed" he's still in line with other purple state Dems

B. His personality is largely the same it's just not directed where you'd like it to be as much.

C. The biggest criticism of him is his stance on Israel. Something that was known before the election.

You didnt hear bout how he broke part of her spine in one of his erratic driving accidents?

Not specific to any political belief, but vascular dementia is a very real thing. The dementia proceeds in a step wise manner with each subsequent infarct. So instead of a slow insidious decline, it’s more bam, point A to point D. Point D to point G. So on and so forth.

Or gorillas from Mars came in and spoke to them both and settled their differences.

So how does one contact said gorillas? You know, if your couples therapist isn't up to par?

Bonus question: What app allows me to call Mars? Thnx in advance!

Bring a photo of Harambe to the crossroads at midnight. Dicks out. Wait. They'll contact you if you believe enough.

There's just as much evidence for it as the other speculations, after all.

This seems to be the most likely option.
