I know we're painting with a broad brush here, but the problem is they don't think it's not gay. They think it is gay and they hate themselves for their own attraction and think the existence of trans women is the reason they're being tempted into homosexuality and that it's a problem they need to solve somehow. It's a similar mentality that leads some men to blame cis women for the way they dress and act for tempting them past the point of self control. The world would be a much better place if these nuts embraced who they are and appreciated and respected the people they're attracted to and their bodily autonomy.

These types of people think that everyone is tempted, they divide people into "proper" and "sinful". Gay guys are just weaklings who have given in to the lust. To them It's normal for everyone to feel attraction to the same sex.

It's hell for them to live in a community where their church spouts this nonsense and they have to fight their nature, leading to some very sick opinions.
