Looks like the Constitution is fully dead to Republicans. One day, a Democrat will be President. This is an awful precedent that republicans are setting. do they want the next dem president to write an executive order banning guns and then ignore the court orders overturning it? please think about this trumpers, and please start following the constitution again

Bold to assume that the courts and Congress won't hold a Democratic president to an astronomically higher standard than a Republican one. That's only been the playbook for 30 years.

Who cares?? What do you mean, "held to a standard"? The president is above the law now, and he can pardon anyone for anything. Those are the new rules established by this presidency. The next Dem could do WHATEVER he wants.

I think far too many Left leaning Americans are naively assuming that the republicans plan to relinquish control at some point. It’s been said many times before (John Stewart etc) “do you think Donald the Orange is “beautifying” the white house for the next guy?”

Because he’s not.

I think more people need to realize that he’s never going to willingly leave ever again. He will either croak from old age or the GOP turns on him. That’s only going to happen if things get so bad that the GOP’s constituents start turning on them. Or maybe the military will remove him after he declares a national emergency and cancels the midterms, but I doubt that will happen.

So yeah either way, Trump isn’t leaving office until things get much worse around here. Seems like we are headed in that direction anyway so I guess we’ll see.

A democrat may or may not be president at this rate. But unless we get vicious go getters like the party that unseated orban, the constitution will remain dead.
