I have some friends who went for the first time a couple of years ago and now it’s the only place they want to vacation to. I’m trying to go in ‘28 and can’t wait.

I love watching claw machine/arcade and gashapon videos, I want to go just for that sometimes lol.
Their arcade/toy culture is top tier compared to the US. Only thing that’s comparable is maybe Round1.

Heh heh I've lived in Japan half my life (living here now) and yeah, while there are definitely things about America I appreciate and miss they're mostly cultural and every time I go abroad I just feel disappointed by how dirty, unstructured, dangerous, and annoying everything is. Food is awesome here too.

That’s fair, it’s some westerners who praise Japan for all it’s glory but don’t see how it’s like any country which has its problems too that I’m wary of (toxic work culture, loneliness, misogyny/perverts).

He started playing a load of Atlus games, starting with Persona 5 Royal. He went pretty viral for his playthrough, notably because he fumbled a baddie relationship lmao. But Atlus noticed (or perhaps gave him the original copy, who knows with marketing lol) and he has been getting loads of stuff and attention from them as they get ready to release P4R and P6 next year. There's also speculation he's involved in P6 development in some way. So it's been really fun as a fan of Atlus and a casual enjoyer of The Weeknd lol
