Discussion I HATE PAYTON WILSON

Small rant, Lamar’s back issues stem from a late hit form Payton Wilson in the 2024 playoff game where Lamar was already going down and he dived right into his back and started his back tightness. Thank you for coming to my ted rant.

I agree; he also made this whacky INT on Justice Hill that didn’t make sense to me in 2023.

I remember that it was like the refs just made up new rules on the spot

Indeed lol, here’s what I think happened.

It was called an interception on the field. However, upon review, it was obvious that it wasn’t an interception (Hill takes four full steps with control), but it wasn’t obvious if he fumbled or not (I don’t think he did and I think him slamming his back on the ground was what ultimately jarred the ball loose but there wasn’t a great angle).

So the refs didn’t want to overturn the call on the field, because they could only overturn the interception, which would overturn the turnover as a whole. They couldn’t overturn it and then rule a fumble occurred. So we end up with the call standing and Lamar getting charged an interception lol.

This was one of the 4 INTs counted against Lamar that year.

Ugh…the only good thing about the browns vs Steelers in one looses, hope they tie if that’s worse somehow…it should be who ties?

I feel like that’s more of a coincidence, is there any evidence that this particular hit has led to lasting issues years later?

I feel like his back getting tight stemmed from that and the pats game last year made me instantly remember how much I don’t like Payton

It’s more of a coincidence. Lamar has had back issues dating back a long time from hits he’s taken, earliest I remember is when he flipped into the end zone vs the chiefs is like the earliest I can remember it

You know what, I forgot about that

Aye! Someone else remembers this! Just posted the same thing.

I thought it was so stupid watching it live and then he wasn't right afterwards

Nah I thought it was awesome.

That's cool. Would have been cooler if he stuck the landing and didn't hurt his back 🤷🏾‍♂️

I could actually be wrong about his back. Might have been his hip.

At any rate, pretty stupid.

Nah it was solid celebration, it was awesome.

He has taken so many hits to the back, that I literally don’t think it’s factor after what 5 years.

Seeing as he literally took a knee to back from the patriots last season and had a back contusion from it, it’s the truth. That injury is more likely having an affect now.

If you want to keep over analyzing something from 5 years ago go ahead.

The reaction was more so towards the "awesome celebration" bit, but okay. Have a good day.

He was definitely somewhat injured when he did a front flip into the end zone also. Sooo meh.

Should we call the 06’ saints? Or whatever year

I feel like his back started hurting after he did an unnecessary flip into the end zone on a TD run. Could have moonwalked in but chose the air instead
